    Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI on Friday for Triple-A Norfolk.

    Advice: Holliday is one of the few top fantasy prospects still healthy in the upper minors at the moment and he’s clearly benefitting from the extra seasoning in the upper minors following his early-season demotion, batting .263 with four homers and three steals in 30 games since April 27.   • Jordan Lawlar (thumb) starts rehab assignment
    Diamondbacks SS prospect Jordan Lawlar (thumb) hit a two-run double on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Arizona’s Rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.

    Advice: Lawlar is working his way back from late-March thumb surgery, which was expected to keep him sideline for at least 8-10 weeks. The 21-year-old is one of the most intriguing prospects in the entire fantasy landscape and figures to be ready to return to Arizona at some point later this summer. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 am
     
  • Two thefts in loss
    Neto went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

    Advice: Neto singled and then stole second and third in the seventh inning, but he wasn't brought home. The shortstop had gone 16 games without a stolen base, though he hit a respectable .264 (14-for-53) with seven extra-base hits in that span. For the season, Neto is slashing .254/.305/.413 with eight steals, six home runs, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored and 12 doubles over 203 plate appearances in a starting role.     Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

    Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season.     Turang went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win against the White Sox.

    Advice: Turang collected his fourth three-hit game of the season, batting in his customary leadoff spot against right-handed starters with Erick Fedde on the mound. The Brewers second baseman produced another solid month in May, hitting .284 (25-for-88) with one homer, five steals, nine RBI and nine runs scored.   • Ezequiel Tovar picks up three hits, homers in win
    Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

    Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May.     Freeman went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

    Advice: Freeman had been leading off over the last couple of weeks, but that should be done with Steven Kwan (hamstring) returning from the injured list Friday. Freeman was second in the order Friday against southpaw Patrick Corbin, but he'll likely bat lower against right-handers moving forward. Freeman's steal was his second in five games and his eighth of the campaign. He's still at a mediocre .223/.317/.354 slash line with four home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 doubles over 203 plate appearances overall, but he's hit .295 (18-for-61) over his last 16 contests.   • Paul DeJong homers in loss to Brewers
    Paul DeJong went 2-for-4 with a homer in a loss Friday to the Brewers.

    Advice: DeJong also doubled. The shortstop has homered eight times while driving in 18 runs with a .426 slugging mark. Unfortunately, he hasn’t helped much in any other categories — and the RBI aren’t all that impressive, either, if being blunt — so his fantasy value remains limited.   • Ceddanne Rafaela homers twice in win over Tigers
    Ceddanne Rafaela crushed a pair of home runs and drove in five on Friday night, propelling the Red Sox to a lopsided 7-3 victory over the Tigers at Fenway Park.

    Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a 359-foot (101.0 mph) three-run shot to left off of Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning — giving the Red Sox a 4-1 lead. He added to that lead with a 375-foot (99.5 mph EV) two-run shot off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame. Rafaela finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .211/.239/.387 to go along with seven homers and 33 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm
