Paredes went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, double and an additional run scored Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Paredes entered the day with just two hits over his last 23 at-bats but broke out of it in a big way with his first three-hit game since May 21. He did all his damage off Nationals' starter Patrick Corbin, going 3-for-3 against the lefty. Despite the recent slump, Paredes maintains a healthy .276/.361/.472 slash line on the season with 13 home runs, 43 RBI, 32 runs and 32 walks over 328 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

    • Dealing with illness
Mountcastle was unavailable for Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Rangers due to an illness, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Mountcastle's absence from the lineup was a surprising one Sunday considering his impressive .306/.359/.494 slash line against left-handed pitchers this season, but manager Brandon Hyde clarified after the contest that Mountcastle was feeling under the weather. With Baltimore off Monday, there's a good chance that Mountcastle will be ready to go for the team's series opener in Seattle on Tuesday. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago

    • Ryan O’Hearn goes 3-for-4, knocks in run
Starting against a lefty for the first time all season, Ryan O’Hearn went 3-for-4 with an RBI against the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: We’re still not sure why O’Hearn played and Ryan Mountcastle sat tonight, but O’Hearn came through nicely, picking up all three of his hits against lefties. He had been 2-for-15 versus southpaws this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm

    • Luke Raley hobbled after taking pitch off foot
Luke Raley appeared hobbled in the Mariners clubhouse after Sunday’s game, which saw him get hit in the left foot by a pitch.

Advice: Manager Scott Servais didn’t mention anything regarding Raley after the game, suggesting that no X-rays or anything were required here. He’ll probably be fine for Tuesday. Rotoworld Today, 4:40 pm

    • Trey Cabbage doubles twice in win
Trey Cabbage went 2-for-5 with two doubles in the Astros’ 10-5 win over the Mets on Sunday.

Advice: Cabbage, trying to distinguish himself in the Astros’ right field jumble sans Kyle Tucker, was excellent Sunday. He had four hard-hit balls and two of them were hit harder than 111 MPH. His 11th inning double finally broke this game open and there’s an ample opportunity for Cabbage to claim some playing time while Tucker’s status remains murky. Rotoworld Today, 4:36 pm

    • Luke Raley tallies three hits, RBI in loss
Luke Raley went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: Raley missed a handful of games earlier this week due to shoulder soreness, but hasn’t shown any signs of rust with four hits in nine at-bats over the weekend since getting back into the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm

    • Christian Walker plates two in victory over A’s
Christian Walker went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Sunday, propelling the Diamondbacks to a 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Walker kicked off the scoring in the fourth inning with a run-scoring single against Oakland starter Luis Medina before extending Arizona’s lead a couple frames later with another run-scoring single as part of a three-hit effort. The 33-year-old veteran first baseman remains a reliable source of over-the-fence pop and counting stats as he’s up to 17 homers and 53 RBI this season leading up to the All-Star break. • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hand) hopes to play Monday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. said his right hand was sore Sunday after he was hit by a Gerrit Cole pitch, but he added that he should be able to play Monday.

Advice: Guerrero remained in today after getting plunked. X-rays taken after the game came back negative. Rotoworld Today, 3:23 pm

    • Halts slump with two hits
LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: LeMahieu entered the game mired in a 6-for-42 (.143) slump but collected a couple of base hits, each of which brought in a run, while also adding just his second extra-base hit of the campaign. Despite being unable to find his footing at the plate, LeMahieu, who raised his season average to .188 thanks to Sunday's effort, has maintained a regular role in the Yankee lineup since returning from the IL in late May due to a fractured foot.
