    • Wood has first home run, knocks in five in win
James Wood went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and five RBI against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Wood hit his first double and home run in the major leagues in this game. He clubbed a three-run home run off Lance Lynn in the bottom of the second inning to make it 7-0 Nationals. In the third inning, he knocked in two more runs with a double. In 23 at-bats, he’s hitting .304 with an .885 OPS for Washington. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago
    • Julio Rodríguez will undergo MRI on injured quad
Julio Rodríguez is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam after leaving Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays in the first inning due to discomfort in his lower right quad area.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder looked uncomfortable while tracking a fly ball in the outfield during the top half of the first inning, then he was replaced by Ty France before he had a chance to take hit first at-bat. The Mariners should have the results of his imaging before Sunday’s game, so expect another update on his status before then. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

    • Semien blasts 12th home run in clutch situation
Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk, and a two-run home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Semien’s 12th of the year. Semien was 3-for-40 (.075) in his last nine games entering Saturday and hadn’t hit a home run since June ninth. He came up with the Rangers trailing by a run in the seventh inning and hit a go-ahead two-run home run that ended up being the difference in the game. • Yates picks up 13th save against Rays Saturday
Kirby Yates tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: The save was his 13th of the season since taking the closer job in April. Yates threw a perfect ninth inning in a one-run game. He’s been basically untouchable as his ERA is 0.86 on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:40 pm

    • Taj Bradley strikes out five in no-decision
Taj Bradley allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings and got a no-decision against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Bradley gave up five hits, walked two and struck out five. It was another solid outing for Bradley. He left the game with the Rays leading 3-2, but the bullpen couldn’t hold on to get him the win. Bradley hasn’t allowed more than two runs in his last six starts. He has a 3.23 ERA on the season. The 23-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next weekend.

    • Stops swinging bat
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Muncy (oblique) has been shut down from swinging a bat, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Roberts added that Muncy hasn't progressed through his rehab as fast as the team had hoped, and the chances of the third baseman beginning a rehab assignment near the All-Star break have been reduced significantly. A right oblique strain has kept him on the injured list since May 17, though his latest setback once again leaves him without a clear return timeline. Rotowire.com Today, 2:36 pm

    • Max Muncy (oblique) shut down from swinging again
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Max Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat again as his oblique injury is simply not progressing.

Advice: Muncy has been sidelined since the middle of May due to a right oblique strain and any hopes of him returning in July are now out of the picture with this setback. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues that don’t have IL spots may be better served cutting bait and finding better use of the roster spot. Muncy has hit .223/.323/.475 with nine homers and 28 RBI in the 40 games that he has been able to play in this season. Rotoworld Today, 2:33 pm

    • Logan O’Hoppe drives in two runs Saturday
Logan O’Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in the Angels’ 7-0 win against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: O’Hoppe was hit by a pitch in the first inning, then knocked a base hit to drive in a run in the third before scoring on a throwing error. He was credited with another RBI on a groundout in the fourth, then reached for a third time with a double in the eighth. The 24-year-old backstop is slashing an excellent .279/.331/.473 with 12 homers and 40 RBI across 285 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm
