      Advice: Marte singled home Corbin Carroll in the top of the fifth to extend Arizona's lead to two runs before also going on to swipe his fourth bag of the season and first since June 11 against the Angels. The second baseman tallied two knocks on the night and has now posted multiple hits in four of his last seven contests. Marte has also hit safely in three straight and in six of his last seven.       Gallen did not factor into the decision in a win over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: The Dodgers put Gallen to task early, drawing 85 pitches out of the right-hander over four innings, with all three runs coming against him in his final frame. It marked Gallen's shortest outing of the season outside of his injury-shortened appearance on May 30 against the Mets and he's now allowed three runs in three of his last four starts (excluding May 30).       Bassitt (7-7) took the loss against Houston on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

      Advice: Bassitt got off to a terrible start in allowing six of the first seven batters he faced to reach base, resulting in three Astros runs. The veteran hurler bounced back to give up just one more run over the remainder of his five frames, but the first-inning damage was enough to send him to his seventh loss of the season. Bassitt had been rolling coming into Thursday, posting a 1.41 ERA across his previous five starts, and the four runs he yielded against Houston were his most since he gave up seven runs against the Dodgers on April 26. Bassitt's overall numbers this season have been pretty much in line with what fantasy managers have come to expect from him -- he has a 3.43 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 94:41 K:BB across 102.1 frames.       Zac Gallen allowed three runs over four innings Thursday in his start versus the Dodgers.

      Advice: The results weren’t great, but Gallen’s velocity tonight was even better in his first start back from the IL; he averaged 95.9 mph on his fastball, up from 95.2 mph last time out and 92.9 mph in the 11 starts before he went on the IL.       Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Thursday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Chapman is 14-for-38 (.368) with four homers and 12 RBI over his last 10 contests. The third baseman put the Giants ahead with his fourth-inning solo shot and then added the RBI double for an insurance run in the sixth. Chapman's recent surge has him at a .245/.325/.426 slash line with 12 homers, 42 RBI, 56 runs scored, 23 doubles and seven stolen bases through 85 contests this season.       Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Albies doubled in the first inning off Logan Webb and Jared Kelenic ended up scoring on a throwing error by Mike Yastrzemski.       Matt Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI against the Braves on Thursday.

      Neris tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Thursday's 10-2 win over the Phillies. He allowed one hit and struck out two.

      Advice: After a rough patch in the middle of June, Neris has now strung together four straight scoreless appearances. That's allowed the veteran reliever to lower his season ERA to a more respectable 4.11. Neris logged a stellar 1.71 ERA across 68.1 innings last year for the Astros, so there is potential for continued improvement in 2024.       Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, one stolen base and two total runs scored in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Rodriguez earned his first multi-hit effort and swatted his first homer in 15 games. During the slump, he went just 7-for-56 (.125) while failing to log an extra-base hit or RBI. Rodriguez's recent poor play has seen him bounce around the lineup in an effort to get his bat going -- he hit fifth Thursday but had batted seventh in the previous two games.
