• Recalled from Triple-A
The Tigers recalled Englert from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Englert has put up a 2.35 ERA and 34:9 K:BB over 23 innings with Toledo this season. The 24-year-old collected a 5.46 ERA across 31 appearances for the Tigers last season. He should operate in low-leverage situations. Rotowire.com Today, 11:56 am
  • Sitting Thursday
Rogers isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Tigers seem content alternating between Rogers and Carson Kelly behind the plate, and Thursday will mark Kelly's turn to start while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 11:37 am

  • Mets claim Ty Adcock on waivers
Mets claimed RHP Ty Adcock on waivers from the Tigers; optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Adcock had struggled this year with a 9.00 ERA in six innings for the Tigers in Triple-A while striking out nine and walking six. He had also struggled in two innings at Triple-A for the Mariners and was waived in April. However, the 27-year-old was solid as a rookie in 2023, pitching to a 3.45 ERA across 12 appearances, so the Mets will hope to recapture some of that. Rotoworld Today, 11:29 am

  • Claimed by Mets
The Mets claimed Adcock off waivers from Detroit on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Adcock was DFA'd by the Tigers on Saturday, but he will reclaim a spot on a 40-man roster as he moves to New York. The 27-year-old righty has allowed eight earned runs across 8.1 innings between the Mariners' and Tigers' Triple-A affiliates, and a significant turnaround would likely be necessary before Adcock receives a call up to the majors. • Outrighted to Triple-A
The Cardinals outrighted Rivas to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday after he cleared waivers.

Advice: While no longer on St. Louis' 40-man roster, Rivas will remain in the organization as depth. The 27-year-old is sporting just a .246/.364/.323 batting line with zero home runs this season at Memphis. Rotowire.com Today, 11:18 am
  • Rays activate Shane Baz, option him to Triple-A
Rays activated RHP Shane Baz from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Baz was strong in his last outing and had gotten up to 76 pitches. However, his command still needs to be refined as he works back from Tommy John surgery. Baz is likely to make a few starts in the minors and, provided they go well, could join the Rays’ rotation at some point in June. Rotoworld Today, 11:12 am

  • Returns to action at Triple-A
Bido (finger) started Saturday for Triple-A Las Vegas in the club's 11-3 loss to El Paso, covering four innings and striking out three while allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks.

Advice: After being called up from Las Vegas on May 8, Bido started the second game of the Athletics' doubleheader with the Rangers that day but exited midway through the third inning after developing a blister on his pitching hand. He was returned to Las Vegas two days later, but he didn't start last week while he was given more time to heal up from the finger issue. Ostensibly healthy again, Bido should continue to make regular turns out of the Las Vegas rotation but will be near the top of the list for a call-up if the Athletics should require a spot starter again. • Losing out on playing time
Nevin is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Nevin seems to have lost hold of an everyday role in the Oakland outfield; he's now been on the bench in five consecutive matchups versus right-handed pitching. The 26-year-old should at least continue to see regular starts against left-handed pitching as a platoon mate for the lefty-hitting Seth Brown. Rotowire.com Today, 11:02 am

  • Gaining foothold in lineup
Goodman will serve as the Rockies' designated hitter and No. 7 batter in Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Goodman will make his fourth start in five games -- and his third at DH -- after going 4-for-12 with two doubles, an RBI, a run and a stolen base across his prior three contests. His inclusion in the lineup Thursday comes while the Rockies are resting four key regulars (Kris Bryant, Charlie Blackmon, Elias Diaz and Brendan Rodgers), but Goodman's recent usage suggests that he'll be a priority in the lineup over Elehuris Montero, who didn't start either of the past two days following Bryant's return from the injured list.
