    • Stuck on 7-day IL at Triple-A
Triple-A Gwinnett placed Ynoa on its 7-day injured list April 23 with right elbow inflammation, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Ynoa posted a 6.52 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB across 9.2 innings in his first three starts with Gwinnett before hitting the shelf. More than a month after being shut down, Ynoa is still without an official timeline for a return. The 26-year-old right-hander held some fantasy utility in 2021 when he turned in a 4.05 ERA while striking out more than a batter per inning over 17 starts with Atlanta, but he hasn't resurfaced at the big-league level since undergoing Tommy John surgery in September 2022. While Ynoa still possesses a spot on Atlanta's 40-man roster, he'll still likely find himself behind several other pitchers in the pecking order for a promotion once he's healthy. • Back from injured list
The Reds activated Young (back) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Young is finally ready for his season debut after recovering from low back disc degeneration. The left-handed reliever allowed just one unearned run over 11 innings on his rehab assignment. Young made 63 appearances out of Cincinnati's bullpen in 2023, posting a 3.86 ERA and 50:20 K:BB in 53.2 frames. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Reds activate Alex Young (back) off 60-day IL
Reds activated LHP Alex Young off the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Young is eligible to come off that 60-day IL Tuesday, and the Reds won’t waste time. The left-hander is back to provide some depth to the pitching staff. Brett Kennedy was designated for assignment to make room for Young on the roster. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • On bench Tuesday
Kelly is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Kelly will yield to Jake Rogers behind the dish Tuesday against righty Jared Jones. Kelly garnered a hit in each of his last three games played, including a three-run homer Sunday. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Absent from starting nine
Urshela is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: The Tigers will reward Matt Vierling's two-homer performance Sunday with another start at the hot corner, pushing Urshela out of the starting lineup against Jared Jones. Urshela is slashing .273/.312/.318 without a home run across 93 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago

    • Lars Nootbaar returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Reds
Lars Nootbaar (hamstring) is hitting second and playing right field against the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Nootbaar was scratched from the lineup Sunday with tightness in his hamstring, but the outfielder looked fine in pre-game workouts and is ready to roll for the tilt against Cincinnati. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Returns to lineup Tuesday
Nootbaar (hamstring) will start in right field and bat second in Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

Advice: Nootbaar missed two starts after tweaking his hamstring in Saturday's game against the Cubs, but he worked out prior to Monday's contest and is ready to roll Tuesday. The 26-year-old has a 1.096 OPS with two homers over his last eight games. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Getting another turn in rotation
Spence will start Tuesday's game against the Rays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Spence will make a third consecutive start for the A's after opening the season as a long reliever. Although Spence has lasted 4.2 innings and 3.0 innings across his first two starts, he's yielded three runs and has struck out eight over that stretch. He's thrown 77 and 70 pitches during those two outings, respectively, and shouldn't be a viable fantasy option in most formats. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

    • Kodai Senga plays catch on field Tuesday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break.
