      Advice: Abrams is back at shortstop and leading off on Saturday after being hit by a pitch twice during Friday’s game -- first on his right arm by an 89 mph cutter in the first inning and then on his left wrist by an 88 mph offering a couple frames later. The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative and the issue didn’t seem to impact the cyst that he’s been dealing with near that left wrist.       Advice: Witt previously went 10 games without a steal and hit just .184 (7-for-38) in that span. While that's a rare cold stretch for the shortstop, he salvaged it by knocking five extra-base hits in that period.       CJ Abrams checked out fine after being hit in the left hand/wrist area by a pitch during Friday’s loss to the Rays.

The shortstop's sizzling stretch has him up to a .283/.335/.507 slash line through 71 contests. His .842 OPS is his highest mark since May 12.       Advice: It’s too bad this netted Abrams only one run and one RBI, even though the Nationals scored seven times. Unfortunately, the play from Abrams in this game that everyone will see was him being thrown out after lazily going back to first base following a single. He was also picked off first base in the game. He later appeared to have a stolen base, only to wind up getting sent back to first base because the umpire interfered with the catcher’s throw.       Advice: Abrams has posted a trio of three-hit games over his last four contests. He'd been less fortunate on the basepaths lately, going 1-for-4 on stolen base attempts over the previous five games before his two swipes Monday. The shortstop is putting together a strong breakout campaign with a .275/.325/.502 slash line, 12 home runs, 39 RBI, 47 runs scored and 13 thefts over 70 contests.       Abrams went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's loss to the Rockies.

      Advice: Abrams doubled in his second at-bat before coming around to score Washington's first run of the contest on a Lane Thomas single. The shortstop would then add a leadoff homer in the fifth to cut Colorado's lead down to one run, giving him 12 long balls on the season. Abrams has now logged multiple hits in three consecutive games and is batting .361 in June with three homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored.       CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Nationals’ loss to the Rockies.

      Advice: Abrams socked a majestic fifth-inning solo homer to right field -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- off Rockies starter Cal Quantrill as part of a three-hit effort. The 23-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar has notched six hits, including one homer and one steal, in 10 at-bats over two games at Coors Field since returning from a brief absence earlier this week due to a cyst near his left wrist. It certainly doesn’t appear that the lingering issue is going to impact his on-field performance based on what we’ve witnessed over the last few days in Colorado. He holds an impressive .829 OPS with 12 homers and 11 steals through 68 contests this season as he continues to build off last year’s breakout campaign. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:21 am
