      Zac Gallen (hamstring) will start on Saturday against the Athletics.

      Advice: Arizona manager Torey Lovullo confirmed late Friday that Gallen will take the ball for Saturday’s showdown against the Athletics after making it through a bullpen session earlier this week without any issues just a couple days after tossing a 67-pitch simulated game. The 28-year-old righty has been out since suffering a Grade 1 right hamstring strain back on May 30. It’s obviously an extremely favorable matchup for fantasy purposes and there shouldn’t be any limitations from a workload standpoint for Gallen in his return from the injured list.       Chapman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Chapman's power has come back, as he has three extra-base hits -- including two homers -- over his last five games. The third baseman gave the Giants their first lead Friday with his sixth-inning blast.       The Diamondbacks will reinstate Gallen (hamstring) from the injured list to start Saturday's game against Oakland, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

      Advice: After spending nearly a full month on the injured list thanks to a right hamstring strain, Gallen will officially return to the D-backs' rotation Saturday. He never appeared in a rehab game with one of Arizona's minor-league affiliates, though he did throw a handful of simulated games, reaching 67 pitches in his most recent session Monday. It's unclear if the 28-year-old righty will be operating under a pitch/innings restriction during his first start back, but he will certainly have a favorable matchup against an Oakland offense that ranks 28th in MLB in runs scored (305).       Matt Chapman stole a base and hit a two-run homer in a win for the Giants on Friday over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Chapman hit a two-run homer off Daniel Hudson for his 10th homer of the season, and he stole his seventh bag of the year for good measure. The 31-year-old has been a mild disappointment thus far in 2024 — depending on expectations, of course — with a .235/.316/.399 slash, but the homers and steals have help balance things out a bit.       Kimbrel earned a save against the Rangers on Friday, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning and did so with two strikeouts and a groundout. The veteran has rebounded from a blown save June 19 with two straight scoreless conversions.       Craig Kimbrel struck out two Rangers in a clean ninth innings to earn the save for Baltimore on Friday.

      X-rays on Rutschman's right hand came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports, but the catcher is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.

      Advice: Rutschman's throwing hand was hit by a foul tip early in Thursday's game versus the Rangers, although he finished the contest and even homered.       Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Friday that X-rays on Adley Rutschman’s right hand came back negative for any fractures.

      Advice: The 26-year-old backstop injured his hand when he was hit by a foul tip during Thursday’s victory over the Rangers. Rutschman admitted to being a bit sore on Friday but said that he felt much better overall.
