    • Pushed back in pitching schedule
      Rea is no longer listed as the Brewers' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: The Brewers haven't provided an explanation for the change, and Rea isn't believed to be dealing with any sort of injury, so he may just be getting pushed back in the pitching schedule so that Milwaukee can have him available to make a start against the divisional-rival Cubs over the weekend. Milwaukee has yet to announce a replacement starter for Wednesday's contest, but newly acquired lefty Dallas Keuchel would be available on four days' rest to take the hill against the Rangers if the Brewers choose to add him to the 40-man roster.       Advice: Allen was obliterated for nine hits, including three homers, and lasted just three frames in a back-and-forth slugfest at Camden Yards.       Cole Irvin was lit up for eight runs (four earned) over four innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Guardians.

    • Braves vs. Cardinals postponed Tuesday due to rain
      Tuesday’s game between the Braves and Cardinals was postponed due to inclement weather.

      Advice: This one went into a preemptive rain delay prior to first pitch at Busch Stadium and it actually wound up staying pretty dry for a few hours before heavier showers rolled into the area. Odds are they probably could’ve gotten this one in if they had started on time. Instead, it’ll be made up on Wednesday as a doubleheader.     • Twins prospect Matt Canterino shut down again
      Twins RHP prospect Matt Canterino has been shut down from throwing due to right shoulder soreness.

      Josiah Gray (elbow) allowed one run over six innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Rochester.

      Advice: Gray struck out four, didn’t hand out a free pass, and got up to around 90 pitches in his latest rehab outing. The 26-year-old righty should be ready to return to Washington’s starting rotation at some point later this week or early next week.       Reds RHP prospect Connor Phillips has been reassigned to the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

      Advice: It’s been an extremely tough start to the year for Phillips, who was a top-100 prospect as recently as last year. The 23-year-old righty, who made five starts last year for Cincinnati, has struggled to a disastrous 10.11 ERA, 2.26 WHIP and 53/50 K/BB ratio across 57 innings (14 starts) this year for Triple-A Louisville.       Padres activated RHP Glenn Otto from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A El Paso.

      Ashcraft is a candidate to be called up from Triple-A Louisville to start in place of Nick Lodolo (blister), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

      Advice: Ashcraft has turned in consecutive quality starts since his demotion to Louisville, yielding a total of four runs with a 12:2 K:BB over 12 innings. He's currently slated to start Wednesday for Louisville, but the Reds don't have a starter listed for that day.
