    • Not playing in All-Star Game
Correa (heel) was removed Monday from the American League All-Star Game roster and was replaced by the Rangers' Corey Seager, the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Though Correa is still expected to attend All-Star festivities in Arlington, Texas this week, his removal from the roster comes as little surprise after he missed the Twins' final two games before the break due to plantar fasciitis in his right heel. Dan Hayes of The Athletic relays that Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't as severe as his bout with the injury to his left foot during 2023 season, but it's not yet clear whether Correa will be back in action when the Twins return to action Saturday versus the Brewers. • Launches grand slam
Gelof went 1-for-5 with a grand slam Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Gelof's ninth-inning grand slam was the eighth and final long ball of the day for Oakland and put a rubber stamp on an 18-run outburst for the A's. It was the second consecutive game with a homer for Gelof, who has now hit seven over the past 23 games and is up to 12 on the season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:25 pm
    • Unlikely for Pittsburgh series
Manager Rob Thomson said Sunday that Realmuto (knee) likely won't be activated from the 10-day injured list when the Phillies open their second-half schedule Friday in Pittsburgh, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Realmuto is reportedly progressing well in his recovery from the meniscectomy he underwent June 12, but his return date looks to have been pushed back a few days after poor weather in Philadelphia this past weekend prevented him from getting in his scheduled on-field work. The veteran backstop should continue to take part in baseball activities on his own during the All-Star break this coming week, but the Phillies will likely want to monitor him in a few more workouts before reinstating him from the IL. A return to action in the week of July 22 still looks to be in the cards for Realmuto. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:00 pm

    • Launches two homers in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Morel hit a two-run blast in the sixth inning and a solo shot in the eighth to pad the Cubs' lead in the contest. This was his first multi-hit effort since June 22, though he's hit safely in 10 of 12 games in July, batting .229 (11-for-48) for the month. Overall, Morel has 18 long balls, 50 RBI, 42 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 96 contests, though he's slashing a light .202/.303/.387 on the year. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:48 pm

    • Falters into sixth win
Kimbrel (6-2) blew a save but picked up the win Sunday, allowing three runs on one hit and two walks over one inning against the Yankees. He struck out one.

Advice: Kimbrel came on in the ninth looking for his 24th save but quickly blew that opportunity by allowing a couple of walks followed by a three-run homer by Ben Rice. To his credit, Kimbrel then retired the next three batters, making him the pitcher of record when the Orioles completed their own comeback in the bottom of the inning. Despite Sunday's outing, Kimbrel has been highly effective in his first season with the Orioles, entering the All-Star break with six wins, 23 saves, a 2.80 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP and 53 strikeouts in 39 appearances spanning 35.1 innings. • Morel homers twice in win over Cardinals
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in an 8-3 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

Advice: Morel took Miles Mikolas deep in the sixth inning and then Andrew Kittredge yard in the eighth. He now has 18 RBI and 50 RBI on the season, which has allowed him to remain fantasy-relevant despite having a .202/.303/.387 slash line. Morel is a below-average defender and will likely never hit for a high batting average, so there remains the risk that the Cubs will eventually see him as a part-time player; however, his immense power and speed upside will always intrigue fantasy managers if you can withstand his poor average. • Kimbrel blows save vs. Yankees before getting the win
Craig Kimbrel blew a save Sunday against the Yankees after allowing a three-run homer to Ben Rice in the top of the ninth.

Advice: Kimbrel found himself in immediate trouble after walking back-to-back batters to begin the frame before serving up the go-ahead blast to Rice. The Yankees would go on to blow the lead in the bottom of the ninth due to a pair of defensive miscues, so Kimbrel actually got the win. Baseball, man. This was Kimbrel’s first appearance in a week and he had allowed just one run over his last 21 innings coming into Sunday’s action, so fantasy managers shouldn’t overact to one bad outing. • Contending with plantar fasciitis
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said prior to Sunday's game against the Giants that a recent MRI revealed that Correa (heel) is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: Correa is out of the lineup for a second straight game Sunday due to the injury, which had previously been classified as a bruised right heel. The updated diagnosis is somewhat worrisome considering that Correa contended with plantar fasciitis for a significant portion of the 2023 season, though that injury was to his left foot. According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't believed to be as severe as the one he dealt with in 2023, but the issue nonetheless makes it far from a lock that the veteran shortstop will be ready to go for the Twins' first game out of the All-Star break next Saturday versus the Brewers. Correa was named to his third All-Star Game and will still be in attendance for the Midsummer Classic in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, but Hefland relays that his availability for the exhibition is up in the air at the moment due to the injury. • Remains on bench Sunday
Correa (heel) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Correa's bruised right heel doesn't look to be a major concern, but he'll be on the bench for the second straight game and will get an extended rest over the All-Star break before the Twins return to action next Saturday versus the Brewers. Willi Castro will fill in for Correa at shortstop in Sunday's series finale in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:34 am
