      Anderson (7-7) picked up the win Tuesday against Oakland, allowing three runs on five hits and five walks across five innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Walks have been an especially pertinent issue for Anderson as of late, with Tuesday's start being his third time issuing five free passes in six appearances. Despite finding the strike zone on just 62 of his 109 pitches, Anderson was good enough at limiting damage to pull out his seventh victory of the season. Still, when the A's made contact, they hit Anderson hard. Three of the 34-year-old's five hits surrendered went for extra bases, with Brent Rooker clubbing a solo homer in the fifth frame. He's now at a .385/.443/.563 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI, 48 runs scored and four steals over 51 contests, and it's safe to assume his speed will remain down given his history of hamstring issues.       Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Machado has gone 14-for-38 (.368) over his last 10 contests, adding two homers and eight RBI in that span. The third baseman opened the scoring when he took MacKenzie Gore deep in the first inning Tuesday.       Advice: Garcia drew a second consecutive start at the keystone and stole two bases in the first inning after leading off with a walk. The 24-year-old has struggled mightily in June, as he entered the contest slashing .145/.211/.169 with no homers and four steals across 90 plate appearances. The Kansas City infield became more crowded with CJ Alexander debuting and Michael Massey (back) returning from the injured list Monday (though Massey will serve as DH for now), so Garcia will have to start producing at the plate and on the basepaths to maintain a starting role.       Suarez (10-2) took the loss against the Tigers on Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

      Advice: Suarez opened with four scoreless innings but ran into trouble in the fifth, allowing four runs on five hits in the frame. He rebounded with a scoreless sixth but departed with a 4-0 deficit. This was just the second time Suarez allowed four earned runs in an outing this season, as he had allowed only four total earned runs in 20.1 June innings prior to Tuesday.
