    • Still no timetable for return
Astros general manager Dana Brown said in an interview Thursday on "The Sean Salisbury Show" that Tucker (shin) remains without a timeline for a return from the 10-day injured list, Michael Schwab of The Juice Box Journal reports.

Advice: Brown added that Tucker is doing some light on-field baseball activities and will require a rehab assignment before being activated. Tucker has been sidelined since early June with a right shin contusion. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:02 pm

    • Tucker has only resumed light, on-field activities
According to The Athletic’s Chandler Rome, Kyle Tucker has “only resumed light, on-field baseball activities that did not include hitting.”

Advice: Tucker’s injury is still being referred to as a “right shin contusion” or a “bone bruise” but Tucker admits that he “can’t do everything normally right now.” If Tucker doesn’t begin a minor-league rehab assignment within the next week, it would make it unlikely that he can return before August. The other factor to keep in mind is that, if the pain persists, Tucker might have to manage the injury when he returns which could limit how much he runs or even his comfort in the batter’s box. • Replaced on All-Star roster
Helsley was replaced Monday on the National League All-Star Game roster with Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: Per Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Helsley said that he wasn't likely to pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game and instead wished to get rest over the All-Star break. The 29-year-old closer confirmed he was healthy and is merely monitoring his workload, having already appeared in 41 games and thrown 42 innings this season. Helsley's career high in appearances is 54, and he hasn't pitched more than 64.2 innings in any individual season. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:46 pm

    • Helsley scratched, Finnegan added to NL All-Stars
Ryan Helsley has been scratched from the NL All-Star roster and will be replaced by Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: No immediate reason was given for Helsley’s removal. He had a busy first half, but considering that he’s pitched just once in the last 10 days, he’s pretty rested at the moment. It’s the first All-Star nod for Finnegan, who has a 2.45 ERA and 25 saves as the Nationals’ closer. Rotoworld Monday, 2:26 pm

    • Logs fifth steal
Kwan went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Rays.

Advice: This was Kwan's first steal since June 25 and his fifth of the campaign on nine attempts. Given he missed a month with a hamstring issue, it's not a surprise he's been a bit more cautious on the basepaths. The outfielder is batting .283 in July and now has a .352/.407/.512 slash line with nine home runs, 27 RBI, 55 runs scored, 14 doubles and two triples through 308 plate appearances this year. • Clubs homer in win
Santander went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Santander is 13-for-46 (.283) with five extra-base hits and three RBI over 12 contests in July. It was always reasonable to expect that he'd take a step back in the power department after slugging 13 homers in June. For the season, the outfielder is slashing .237/.301/.503 with 24 long balls, 58 RBI, 49 runs scored, 16 doubles and two triples over 91 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:54 pm
    • Pulled in the third
Singer was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk over 2.2 innings against the Red Sox. He struck out three.

Advice: Singer couldn't put things together Sunday, allowing separate two-run homers in each of the first and second innings, then loading the bases in the third prior to being pulled. It was the shortest outing of the season for Singer, who entered the contest having allowed only one earned run during each of his previous four starts. He enters the All-Star break ranked 10th in the majors with a 3.20 ERA to go along with a 1.23 WHIP and 99 strikeouts over 19 starts spanning 104 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:20 pm
    • Takes tough-luck loss
Blanco (9-4) took the loss Sunday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts across six innings.

Advice: All the damage against Blanco came in the first inning, when Josh Smith launched a two-run home run. However, the Astros managed to score only one run until the ninth inning, sticking Blanco with the loss despite logging a quality start. The 30-year-old has been outstanding this season, owning a 2.56 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP over 109.0 innings at the All-Star break. Before 2024, Blanco had a career 4.78 ERA in 58.1 innings and had primarily been utilized out of the bullpen, making him one of baseball's biggest breakouts so far. • Nets 16th save
Yates picked up the save Sunday against the Astros, allowing one run on a hit and a walk with no strikeouts across one inning.

Advice: While Yates advanced to 16-for-16 in save opportunities this season, he snapped his streak of eight consecutive scoreless innings. The 37-year-old walked Jon Singleton and yielded a single to Jeremy Pena to start the ninth frame, with Singleton eventually coming around to score on a groundout by Joey Loperfido. The outing bumped Yates' ERA from 0.81 to 1.05, and he has a 0.90 WHIP across 34.1 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:21 pm
