    • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment. If this is the starting point, he’s going to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor for a long time, even if the plate skills only marginally improve. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Evan Carter (back) progressing towards return
Evan Carter (back) is expected to progress to facing live pitching again this week.

Advice: Carter resumes swinging a bat earlier this week and should be ready to face some actual live pitching in the coming days. The 21-year-old former top prospect landed on the injured list back in early June with a stress reaction in his back and was expected to miss at least one month. He’s going to need a minor league rehab assignment to get back up to speed, but it sounds like he could be back before the end of July, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm

    • Harrison Bader makes precautionary exit Tuesday
Harrison Bader was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Nationals for precautionary reasons after an awkward collision with the right-center field wall.

Advice: The Mets declined to cite a specific reason for Bader’s removal from the contest. However, MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo notes that his left arm hit the right-center field wall awkwardly during that third-inning collision and he appeared pretty shaken up afterwards. It’s possible he’ll be evaluated for a concussion as well just to be safe. There should be some sort of update on his status following the contest. Rotoworld Today, 5:08 pm

    • Exits early Tuesday
Bader was removed from Tuesday's game against the Nationals due to an apparent injury, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Bader crashed into the outfield wall while attempting to make a catch in the third inning, and he was replaced in center field by Brandon Nimmo to begin the fourth. It's not immediately clear what is bothering Bader, but the Mets will take a closer look at him and should offer more details relatively soon. Rotowire.com Today, 4:51 pm

    • Out with back fracture
Davis was placed on Triple-A Iowa's 7-day injured list Tuesday with a back fracture, Tommy Birch of Des Moines Register reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old is without a timeline for his return but won't be returning to the field anytime soon. Davis is hitting just .229 through 36 games for Iowa this season, though he's shown off his power and plate discipline with 10 home runs and a 19:31 BB:K. Rotowire.com Today, 3:57 pm

    • Sitting versus lefty
Blackmon isn't in the Rockies' lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: The left-handed bat of Blackmon will step out of the lineup Tuesday versus fellow southpaw Dallas Keuchel and the Brewers. Hunter Goodman will move into right field as a result while Elias Diaz serves as the DH, allowing Jacob Stallings to start behind the plate and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:48 pm
    • D-backs activate Alek Thomas for Tuesday return
Diamondbacks activated OF Alek Thomas from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Thomas will make his long-awaited return to Arizona’s lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers after missing three months due to a hamstring strain and a couple setbacks during his rehabilitation process. Rotoworld Today, 3:36 pm

    • Back from injured list
The Diamondbacks reinstated Thomas (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Thomas suffered a left hamstring strain during the fourth game of the season, and multiple setbacks have contributed to his three-month absence. Now, after playing in 10 rehab games between the Arizona Complex League and Triple-A, the 24-year-old outfielder has been cleared to return to the big-league roster. It's possible the D-backs have him sit occasionally as he gets used to facing MLB pitchers again, but he'll almost certainly reclaim his role as Arizona's primary center fielder. Blaze Alexander was optioned to Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 3:31 pm

    • Sitting Tuesday and more
Biggio isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Biggio is set to lose time in the Dodgers' lineup at third base with Chris Taylor looking to secure the position as his until Max Muncy (oblique) returns. Biggio has struggled with Los Angeles, batting .188 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate in 12 games. Taylor has the start at third Tuesday and is batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:20 pm
