    • Shohei Ohtani belts 26th homer in win over Giants
Shohei Ohtani belted his 26th home run of the season on Saturday night, helping to power the Dodgers past the Giants in extra innings.

Advice: The 29-year-old superstar victimized right-hander Spencer Howard in the third inning for his 412-foot (109.7 mph EV) solo shot that briefly gave the Dodgers a 2-1 advantage. He also drew a pair of walks and struck out twice in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-4. One of those walks was intentional in the 11th inning, where he then raced around to score on a two-run double off the bat of Will Smith. On the season, he’s now slashing a robust .321/.405/.645 with 26 long balls, 62 RBI and 16 stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 pm

    • Will Smith drives in three runs in Dodgers victory
Will Smith went 3-for-6 with a double and three RBI on Saturday night as the Dodgers outlasted the Giants in 11 innings.

Advice: Smith beat out an infield single in the fourth inning that drove in a run and knotted the score at five runs apiece. He then delivered the game’s biggest hit in the 11th inning, smacking a two-run double that gave the Dodgers a two-run lead and put them well on their way to victory. With his three-hit night, the 29-year-old backstop is now hitting .269/.339/.466 with 11 homers and 50 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 8:06 pm

    • Jorge Soler doubles twice in loss to Dodgers
Jorge Soler went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and an RBI as the Giants fell to the Dodgers in extra innings on Saturday evening in San Francisco.

Advice: Soler led off the home half of the first inning with a double off of Tyler Glasnow, then scored the team’s first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heliot Ramos. Soler also drove in a run of his own with an RBI double off of Glasnow in the third inning, tying the game at 2-2. Perhaps staying in the leadoff spot is the way to get him going. Soler is now hitting .226/.306/.389 with nine homers and 30 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Today, 8:06 pm

    • Continues power surge
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an RBI double, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Santander got the Orioles on the board with a second-inning homer, and his RBI double in the seventh provided a key insurance run. He may never want June to end -- he's batting .274 (29-for-106) with 13 homers and 26 RBI across 27 contests this month. The incredible surge has him up to 22 homers, 55 RBI, 46 runs scored, 14 doubles and no stolen bases through 78 games this season, though he's still batting a middling .233 despite his .813 OPS. • Slugs first career grand slam
Kjerstad went 1-for-1 with a grand slam, two walks and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Kjerstad's slam came in the fifth inning to give the Orioles a 5-2 lead. It was the first grand slam of his career, and he's now homered in his last two games, both coming against Texas. The 25-year-old prospect has added seven RBI, three runs scored, no stolen bases and a 5:8 BB:K across 33 plate appearances this season. The left-handed-hitting Kjerstad has gotten looks in both corner outfielder spots as well as at designated hitter, and he's poised to compete with Colton Cowser for playing time while Austin Hays is battling knee soreness. • Rare steal in loss
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and one stolen base in Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Alonso's steal was just his second of the year, as speed is rarely a factor in his play. He's got plenty of reason to feel optimistic lately though -- the first baseman has gone 15-for-46 (.326) over his last 12 contests while adding 14 RBI in that span. Overall, Alonso is at a .244/.330/.472 slash line with 17 home runs, 46 RBI, 46 runs scored and 19 doubles through 80 games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 pm

    • Two doubles in three-hit effort
Iglesias went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Iglesias has functioned mainly in a utility role off the bench lately, but he's had a couple of big games anyway. He's gone 7-for-17 over his last 10 contests despite recording a plate appearance in just seven of those games. Over 43 plate appearances this year, he's batting .425 with seven RBI, six runs scored, one stolen base and four doubles, but the light-hitting infielder has yet to hit a home run. Iglesias' best path to playing time is at second base, where he's on the short side of a platoon with Jeff McNeil, who is hitting just .221 on the year and .211 in June. • Anthony Santander doubles and homers in win
Anthony Santander doubled and homered in a win Saturday over the Rangers.

Advice: Santander hit his 22nd homer of the season with a solo shot off Michael Lorenzen in the second. The 29-year-old outfielder doubled in a run in the seventh to extend the Baltimore lead to 6-4 and also gave Santander 55 RBI on the season. It’s been an outstanding month of June for the outfielder, as he’s now slugging .631 over those 107 at-bats with nine homers and 21 runs driven in. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm

    • Lowe has three hits, two-run homer in loss
Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss Saturday to the Orioles.

Advice: Lowe also doubled. The homer was a two-run shot that got the Rangers back in the game to make it a 5-4 score in the sixth. The 28-year-old has not shown a ton of power thus far in 2024, as his .262 average and .348 on-base percentage have been dragged down by just four roundtrippers and a .369 slugging mark over 214 at-bats.
