  • Kinsler homers, plates three to lead Tigers
Ian Kinsler homered and drove home three runs on Friday, powering the Tigers to a 10-1 victory over the Royals in Kansas City.

Advice: Kinsler doubled home James McCann in the fourth inning to increase the Tigers advantage to 5-0, then smashed a two-run homer off Louis Coleman in the fifth. He's enjoying a terrific season offensively, slashing .276/.308/.418 with 15 long balls and 85 RBI. Rotoworld.com

  • Dustin Ackley homers twice in win over Astros
Dustin Ackley had big night at the plate Friday against the Astros, going 2-for-4 with two solo home runs, a walk, and three runs scored.

Advice: It was the second multi-homer game of his career. Ackley came into Friday's action 3-for-35 (.086) this month. The Mariners and fantasy owners will have to hope that the big game will get him going again. Rotoworld.com

  • Altuve has three-hit night
Jose Altuve went 3-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: After going 0-for-6 on Thursday, Altuve bounced back with two singles and a double. He's now up to 216 hits on the year, the most by a second baseman since Rod Carew had 218 in 1974. There's a good chance he'll pass that number within the next couple of days. Altuve currently ranks first in the American League with a .343 batting average, eight points ahead of Detroit's Victor Martinez. Rotoworld.com

  • Ynoa has four hits in rout of Diamondbacks
Rafael Ynoa had a memorable night at the plate in Friday's thrashing of the Diamondbacks, going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a triple.

Advice: Ynoa also drove home three runs. He delivered a run-scoring double off opposing starter Chase Anderson in the fourth inning, then tacked on a two-run triple the following frame. While he profiles best as a utility infielder at the big league level, he's now hitting an impressive .417/.417/.528 in his limited action with the Rockies. Rotoworld.com

  • Didi Gregorius has two hits in losing effort
Didi Gregorius went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in a losing effort against the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: His triple an subsequent run scored came in the ninth inning with the game already well out reach. Even with the two-hit effort, he's hitting just .209/.282/.351 on the season. Rotoworld.com

  • Murphy has four-hit game against Braves
Daniel Murphy went 4-for-5 with a run scored against the Braves on Friday.

Advice: Murphy collected three singles and a double. The 29-year-old had just 4 hits in his last 22 at-bats coming into Friday's action, so fantasy owners will have to hope that this is a sign of things to come over the final week and a half of the season. Rotoworld.com

  • La Stella hitless in loss to Mets
Tommy La Stella went 0-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Phil Gosselin has seen more time at second base of late, so this was his first start since Saturday. LaStella got off to a nice start in the majors, but he's hitting just .174 since the start of August. Rotoworld.com

  • Forsythe homers, drives home three in loss
Logan Forsythe had a big night at the plate in Friday's loss to the White Sox, going 2-for-3 with a double, home run and all three of the team's RBI.

Advice: He has made a living out of hammering southpaws, and Jose Quintana certainly wasn't exempt in this one. It has been a rough season on the whole for Forsythe however, hitting just .231/.296/.343 with six long balls and 26 RBI. Rotoworld.com

Rickie Weeks launched a solo homer Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: His fifth-inning solo shot gave the Brewers some insurance, but Jonathan Broxton coughed up the lead in the eighth inning. Weeks has been productive in a platoon role this season, batting .257/.335/.430 with seven home runs and 26 RBI over 114 games. Rotoworld.com

Arismendy Alcantara is back in the Cubs' lineup Friday.

Royals placed INF Christian Colon on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to September 7, with a fractured right middle finger.

  • Amarista goes 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI
Alexi Amarista continued to torment the Phillies on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored.

Advice: He finished a triple short of the cycle on Tuesday, and went 6-for-11 (.545) with a double, two homers, three runs scored and five RBI over the last three games. Where did this come from? Your guess is as good as ours. Amarista entered those games batting .237 with three homers total. He's got the slash line up to .245 /.294/.323. Rotoworld.com

  • Ramirez scores both runs, Tribe wins it in 13
Jose Ramirez finished 3-for-6 with a double and two runs scored in Thursday's 13-inning win against the Astros.

Advice: Ramirez scored both of the Indians' runs, touching home for the tying run in the ninth on a Carlos Santana single, and scoring the go-ahead run in the 13th on a Mike Aviles sacrifice fly. Ramirez had been held to just three hits in his previous 23 at-bats entering the contest, and still sports a mediocre .254/.299/.328 slash line on the season. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Rendon brought his league-leading runs scored total up to 110 with the effort. He's also up to 16 stolen bases on the season, leaving him four shy of a 20 HR/20 SB season. The Nationals' MVP is slashing .286/.348/.473. Rotoworld.com

  • Rosales goes 3-for-4 with a steal in victory
Adam Rosales went 3-for-4 with a steal in Wednesday's 6-1 win against the A's.

Advice: He's 6-for-12 (.500) with two walks over his last three games, the past two of which have come against his former team. Which must be sweet. You might recall last year's Rosales transaction shenanigans between these two clubs. If not, here's your primer: The A's DFA'd him on Deadline Day, the Rangers claimed him on August 2, they DFA'd him on August 5, the A's claimed him back on August 8 and DFA'd him on August 10. The Rangers got him back for good on yet another claim two days later. Rosales has surprisingly turned into a productive AL-only player as the season winds down. He's now slashing .297/.371/.445 across 46 games. Rotoworld.com

  • Ian Kinsler goes 0-for-5 in loss
Ian Kinsler went 0-for-5 against the Twins in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: Kinsler has escaped the criticism given to Joe Nathan and Justin Verlander, but he's been among the Tigers' biggest liabilities lately, with a .239 average and a horrible .265 OBP in 314 at-bats since the beginning of July. He's walked a total of 27 times in 151 games this year, down from 51 in 136 games last year and a high of 89 in 155 games in 2011. As a result, he's set to finish with easily the worst OBP of his career, even though he's hitting right at his career average. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Ramirez goes hitless again
Jose Ramirez went 0-for-4 on Wednesday and is hitless in 10 at-bats in the series against the Astros.

Advice: The Indians were too cheap to promote Francisco Lindor, so Ramirez will finish out the season at shortstop, even though he hasn't proven to be any kind of threat at the plate. He's currently hitting .246/.293/.318 in 195 at-bats. Rotoworld.com

Arismendy Alcantara (wrist) is aiming to return to the Cubs' starting lineup on Thursday.

  • Ackley drives in a 2 runs in win vs. Angels
Dustin Ackley went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the Mariners' stomped the Angels 13-2 on Tuesday.

Advice: Ackley has missed a lot of time recently with bone spurs in his ankle. The injury makes it difficult for him to plant and pivot off the foot. So long as Ackley can tolerate the pain, he'll be in the lineup. He's now slashing .251/.298/.397 through 133 games. Rotoworld.com

  • Amarista finishes a triple short of the cycle
Alexi Amarista finished 3-for-4 with a double, homer, two RBI and one run scored on Tuesday against the Phillies.

Advice: He came into this game batting .204 with no extra-base hits in September. So naturally Amarista finishes a triple short of the cycle in Petco, doing most of his damage against Phillies' starter A.J. Burnett. It'll be awhile before you see another performance like this out of Amarista. Even after the monster game, he's batting .242/.292/.313 on the season. Rotoworld.com

  • Altuve sets Astros' single-season hit record
Jose Altuve went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Indians.

Advice: The line was fairly standard for the diminutive second baseman, but it was noteworthy for the fact that Altuve passed Craig Biggio for the Astros' record for hits in a single season. He's got 211 for the season, and the Astros still have a week and a half for Altuve to pad his lead. The 24-year-old is batting a ridiculous .343/.379/.456 for the year. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Altuve has delivered five straight multihit games to push his average back up to .342. He was caught stealing tonight for the eighth time this season. Altuve was 41-for-44 stealing bases in the first half, but he's a much more modest 11-for-16 since. Rotoworld.com

Arismendy Alcantara went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Pirates on Friday.

Advice: It was his first multi-hit game since August 24. With nine homers and seven stolen bases, Alcantara has some enticing skills, but he's batting just .210/.262/.369 through his first 58 games in the majors. Rotoworld.com

Ian Kinsler had a nice night at the dish in Friday's victory over the Indians, going 2-for-5 with a double, run scored and RBI.

Advice: Kinsler got the Tigers on the board with an RBI double in the third inning that plated Nick Castellanos. He would later single and race home on an RBI single off the bat of Victor Martinez. He has done a very nice job as a table-setter for the Tigers this season, slashing .278/.309/.415 with 13 homers, 92 runs scored, 79 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Rotoworld.com

After all, he is 10-for-24 (.417) over his career against Mariners' starter Hisashi Iwakuma. Altuve is slashing a pristine .336/.373/.447 and his steal tonight gives him 52 total. Rotoworld.com
