    • Returns to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Black to Triple-A Nashville following Sunday's 7-1 win over the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 23-year-old was called up by Milwaukee on June 19 but totaled just 12 at-bats before being sent back to Triple-A. Black is one of the organization's top prospects but doesn't have a clear path to playing time in the big leagues given who the Brewers currently have available, so he'll go back to the minors to get more consistent playing time. • Remaining out of lineup
Drury (illness) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Drury hasn't seen the field since June 21 due to an upper-respiratory illness, and he won't return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale versus Detroit. According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, Drury is avialable off the bench Sunday and should return to the starting nine Tuesday in Oakland. Luis Rengifo will again man the keystone while Miguel Sano starts at third base. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:26 pm

    • Brandon Drury (illness) out again Sunday vs. DET
Brandon Drury (illness) is not in the starting lineup against the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: That makes 10 straight games where Drury has missed due to illness. The 31-year-old will remain on the bench with Miguel Sano at the hot corner and Luis Rengifo handling third base. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:17 pm

    • Exiting starting nine Sunday
Biggio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Biggio will head to the bench after he started at third base over the first two games of the series, going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts. Chris Taylor will step in at third base in place of Biggio, who is slashing just .167/.265/.167 with a 35.3 percent strikeout rate since being acquired from the Blue Jays on June 12. • Breaks out of short slump
Jones went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Jones entered Saturday's game having collected just one hit across his last 15 at-bats. He ended that short slump with a two-run homer in the fifth inning, his second long ball since returning from the injured list June 14. Jones is still working on finding his rhythm this season after missing around six weeks due to knee and back injuries, but he is now hitting .250 since being activated. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:02 am

    • Lifts fourth homer
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Lowe has four multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, a span that also includes two of his four homers this year. The first baseman has never displayed elite power, but his .369 slugging percentage for the season is low even by his standard. He's at least been fairly consistent at the plate, batting .262 with 27 RBI, 25 runs scored, two stolen bases and 11 doubles over 62 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:18 pm

    • Lowe has three hits, two-run homer in loss
Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss Saturday to the Orioles.

Advice: Lowe also doubled. The homer was a two-run shot that got the Rangers back in the game to make it a 5-4 score in the sixth. The 28-year-old has not shown a ton of power thus far in 2024, as his .262 average and .348 on-base percentage have been dragged down by just four roundtrippers and a .369 slugging mark over 214 at-bats. • Luke Raley (shoulder) returns to lineup Saturday
Luke Raley (shoulder) returned to the Mariners’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Raley missed each of the team’s previous two games due to soreness in his shoulder. He’s right back out there on Saturday night though, batting fifth and starting in left field against Pablo Lopez and the Twins. The 29-year-old has hit .253/.299/.444 with nine homers, 22 RBI and five stolen bases in 212 plate appearances with the M’s this season. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:11 pm

    • Brandon Drury (illness) misses ninth straight game
Brandon Drury (illness) was held out of the Angels’ lineup once again for Saturday evening’s tilt against the Tigers.

Advice: It’s the ninth consecutive game that Drury has missed due to illness, though he remains on the active roster and has been with the team at the ballpark for each game. Luis Rengifo will slide over and cover second base in this one while Miguel Sano starts at the hot corner and bats cleanup against Reese Olson and the Tigers on Saturday night.
