Lynn (4-3) allowed two hits and a walk over six shutout frames Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the Reds.

Advice: Lynn faced little pushback as he sliced through the Reds' lineup. He generated a season-high 17 whiffs, including 14 with his four-seam fastball. It was his second straight win after going 0-1 in his previous five starts. Lynn dropped his season ERA to 3.59 alongside an 84:31 K:BB through 17 starts this season. His next outing is projected to be in Washington. Rotowire.com Today, 8:18 pm

The 34-year-old logged his fourth consecutive quality start and his 14th of the season, tied for first in MLB. Over his past four starts, the right-hander has registered a robust 1.46 ERA along with a 1.01 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB over 24.2 innings. He will look to keep rolling his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend in Colorado. Rotowire.com Today, 2:33 pm

    • Registers another quality start
Irvin (6-6) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

Advice: Irvin served up a solo homer to Brandon Lowe in the first inning, but that was the only run -- and only hit -- he allowed in the contest. The right-hander recorded his seventh quality start over his past eight outings, and he's posted an excellent 2.09 ERA and 0.93 WHIP during that span. Irvin didn't seem like he'd be a fantasy factor this year after posting a 4.61 ERA and 1.42 WHIP as a rookie last season, but he's provided strong ratios with a 3.03 ERA and 1.06 WHIP along with an 86:23 K:BB across 98 frames. • Stifles BoSox on Saturday
King (6-5) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 11-1 rout of the Red Sox. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander blanked Boston for five innings before serving up a solo shot to Jarren Duran, but San Diego had already compiled a 10-0 lead by that point. King produced his first quality start since June 2 and his seventh of the season on 89 pitches (63 strikes). He'll take a 3.61 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 115:39 K:BB through 99.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
    • Triumphant in return
Gallen (6-4) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out seven over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Gallen returned from a hamstring injury that cost him nearly a month and took full advantage of a soft matchup. This was the fourth time this season he's gone six innings in a start without allowing a run. He's also posted five quality starts in his last six outings, with the lone exception being the May 30 start that ended with the aforementioned hamstring injury before he could record an out. The right-hander is now at a 2.83 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 67:16 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts. Gallen threw 77 pitches (50 strikes) Saturday, so he should be good for a full workload his next time out, which is tentatively projected for a road outing at San Diego. • Michael King bounces back with six strong in win
Michael King held the Red Sox to one run over six innings with six strikeouts while picking up a win Saturday.

Advice: King didn’t have to be at his best with Tanner Houck faltering, but he was pretty close to it, anyway. The right-hander gave up a solo homer to Jarren Duran, and that was it in terms of scoring blemishes. King has been fairly up-and-down in his first year with the Padres, but there have been enough quality starts like this one to keep the optimism going. He’s scheduled to face the Diamondbacks next weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:50 pm
    • Irvin allows one in six innings in win over Rays
Jake Irvin allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Nationals’ 8-1 victory over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Irvin gave up one hit, walked three and struck out six. He allowed a solo home run to Brandon Lowe in the first inning, but was otherwise excellent. Irvin won four of his five starts in June and lowered his ERA to 3.03 on the year. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Mets at home next week.
