    • Diamondbacks to DFA Tucker Barnhart
The Diamondbacks have decided to move on from Tucker Barnhart with Gabriel Moreno coming off the IL on Tuesday.

Advice: Barnhart will be DFA’d, with Jose Herrera sticking around as Moreno’s backup. The 33-year-old has hit just .173/.287/.210 this season, though it’s not like that should have surprised the Diamondbacks; he came in at .215/.286/.264 the previous two years. • Henry Davis (concussion) sees rehab stint paused
Henry Davis is having his rehab stint put on hold as he attempts to return from a concussion.

Advice: Davis was 0-for-6 with five strikeouts since joining Double-A Altoona on Wednesday. Expectations are that he’ll be optioned to Triple-A once healthy. Rotoworld Today, 6:21 pm

    • Luke Raley hobbled after taking pitch off foot
Luke Raley appeared hobbled in the Mariners clubhouse after Sunday’s game, which saw him get hit in the left foot by a pitch.

Advice: Manager Scott Servais didn’t mention anything regarding Raley after the game, suggesting that no X-rays or anything were required here. He’ll probably be fine for Tuesday. Rotoworld Today, 4:40 pm

    • Trey Cabbage doubles twice in win
Trey Cabbage went 2-for-5 with two doubles in the Astros’ 10-5 win over the Mets on Sunday.

Advice: Cabbage, trying to distinguish himself in the Astros’ right field jumble sans Kyle Tucker, was excellent Sunday. He had four hard-hit balls and two of them were hit harder than 111 MPH. His 11th inning double finally broke this game open and there’s an ample opportunity for Cabbage to claim some playing time while Tucker’s status remains murky. Rotoworld Today, 4:36 pm

    • Brewers activating Mitchell, demoting Black
The Brewers will activate Garrett Mitchell and send down Tyler Black prior to Monday’s game in Colorado.

Advice: It seemed like Black would get more of a look this time around, but after four games in which he collected three hits and three walks, the Brewers glued him to the bench for the entire last week. Now they’ll be creating a logjam in the outfield by activating Mitchell while keeping Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins around. Jackson Chourio has turned into a fixture in right, so the Brewers will be choosing between Mitchell, Frelick, Perkins and Jake Bauers for two lineup spots each day. That’s not a great fantasy value situation for Mitchell, though his upside is very much present. Rotoworld Today, 4:35 pm

    • X-rays negative on wrist
Garver (wrist) had X-rays on his right wrist come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Sunday's loss to the Twins, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: Garver appears to have avoided a significant injury after exiting Sunday's contest early. Manager Scott Servais said the team will reevaluate Garver's status following Monday's off day, but the 33-year-old can be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Today, 4:34 pm

    • Trevor Larnach slugs go-ahead homer to defeat M’s
Trevor Larnach belted a go-ahead two-run homer on Sunday, leading the Twins to a 5-3 victory over the Mariners.

Advice: Larnach crushed a 406-foot blast to right-center field off Mariners reliever Ryne Stanek in the eighth inning to put the Twins ahead for good on Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Park. It was his eighth big fly of the season and first time he’s gone deep since June 16. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm

    • Luke Raley tallies three hits, RBI in loss
Luke Raley went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: Raley missed a handful of games earlier this week due to shoulder soreness, but hasn’t shown any signs of rust with four hits in nine at-bats over the weekend since getting back into the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm

    • Justyn-Henry Malloy homers, Tigers edge Angels
Justyn-Henry Malloy went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park homer on Sunday, leading the Tigers to a 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Malloy has compiled cringe-inducing numbers this season since getting the call to the majors back in early June, but he made his presence felt in this one with a two-run, inside-the-park homer off Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson in the fourth inning. It was just his third big fly in 23 games so far in the big leagues as he’s also struck out 28 times in 73 plate appearances during that span. The 24-year-old was an on-base machine in the upper minors, but he’s still clearly a work in progress at the highest level. The big question will be how long the Tigers are going to be willing to let him continue to try to figure things out. Rotoworld Today, 4:07 pm
