    • Zac Gallen lasts just four innings versus Dodgers
Zac Gallen allowed three runs over four innings Thursday in his start versus the Dodgers.

Advice: The results weren’t great, but Gallen’s velocity tonight was even better in his first start back from the IL; he averaged 95.9 mph on his fastball, up from 95.2 mph last time out and 92.9 mph in the 11 starts before he went on the IL. Because of the diminished velocity, we were a bit down on him before his hamstring injury. He seems like a better bet now, though. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago
    • Eflin picks up fifth win against Royals Thursday
Zach Eflin allowed six runs (five earned) in five innings and got the win in the Rays’ 10-8 victory over the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Eflin gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out three. The win was his fifth of the season. The Royals started scoring with a Michael Massey solo home run in the second inning. Kansas City scored twice in the third inning on a Bobby Witt Jr. sacrifice fly and RBI single by Vinnie Pasquantino. Pasquantino had an RBI groundout in the fifth inning. The sixth inning started with a Richie Palacious error which allowed Michael Massey to reach and Hunter Renfroe chased Eflin with an RBI single. Renfroe ended up scoring later in the inning with the run charged to Eflin. This season has been a nightmare for Eflin drafters as he hasn’t come close to repeating the career year he had last year. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.

    • Contreras has two hits in loss to Rockies Thursday
William Contreras went 2-for-5 against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Contreras enjoyed his time in Colorado. He went 8-for-19 (.421) with a home run and a double in the four game series at Coors Field. The 26-year-old All-Star catcher is hitting .298 with an .804 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Today, 8:04 pm
    • Picks up seventh win
King (7-5) picked up the win Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks against the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: King held the Rangers scoreless through five, then was removed after allowing two batters to reach base with one out in the sixth, eventually resulting in one earned run against. It's the sixth time in his last eight starts that King has allowed one earned run or fewer and the 10th such outing this season. Over his last eight outings, King has tossed 44 innings with a 2.45 ERA and 53 strikeouts. His next opportunity to toe the rubber is scheduled to come at home against the Mariners next week. • Steals base, scores three runs
Suzuki went 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs and a stolen base Thursday against the Phillies.

Advice: Suzuki entered the game having struck out 12 times against just one walk in 25 plate appearances over his previous six games but reached base four times on two hits and a couple of walks, leading to a season-high three runs scored. It was just the fourth time this season Suzuki drew multiple free passes in a game. He also recorded his eighth stolen base of the season in 10 tries, leaving him just one shy of a career high. • Michael King shuts down Rangers over 5 1/3 in win
Michael King struck out five and allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings on Thursday in a win over the Rangers.

Advice: King generated 13 swinging strikes, although just a pair of them came on his four-seam fastball, as he finished with a robust 34 percent CSW. A sixth-inning single from Wyatt Langford was responsible for the lone tally against him in a low-scoring pitcher’s duel at Globe Life Field. The 29-year-old former reliever will bring a strong 3.51 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 120/41 K/BB ratio across 105 innings (19 appearances, 18 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Mariners in his final outing prior to the Midsummer Classic. • Seiya Suzuki scores three times in victory
Seiya Suzuki went 2-for3 with two walks, a steal and three runs scored Thursday versus the Phillies.

Advice: It’s nice seeing Suzuki with eight steals in 10 attempts this season after he was just 6-for-13 last year. He’s not excelling in any fantasy category, but neither has he been a liability in any while batting .263 with 11 homers, 35 runs scored and 34 RBI in 62 games. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm

    • Thomson: Schwaber could return on Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said “it’s possible” that Kyle Schwarber (groin) could return on Tuesday when the Phillies begin their series against the Dodgers.

Advice: Schwarber is already running at 90% on the field and has not yet been on the IL for a week, so he likely wouldn’t need any rehab assignment if he progresses quickly. There are a few days to go, but it sounds like we might get a minimum stay for Schwarber on the IL. Rotoworld Today, 12:23 pm

    • Bo Bichette scratched Thursday with forearm bruise
Bo Bichette was scratched from Thursday’s lineup due to a right forearm contusion.

Advice: It’ll be Leo Jimenez making his big-league debut at shortstop on Thursday against the Astros in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 11:57 am
