      Waldron allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Monday.

      Advice: Waldron rattled off his sixth straight quality start, and he's gone nine outings without allowing more than two runs. The run support wasn't there for him Monday, leaving him to take his fifth no-decision of the season. Waldron is at a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 16 starts.       Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double in Monday's 7-6 loss to Boston.

      Advice: Guerrero knocked a three-run blast to cap off Toronto's five-run seventh inning. The 471-foot blast traveled clear over the Draft Kings sign above the Green Monster and is the longest of his career. He hit (.235) through 14 games to begin the month but has since gone 12-for-34 (.353) with three homers over his last eight contests. Those three homers have come in his last four games after he hit just three over his previous 39 appearances. Guerrero is slashing .286/.368/.429 with 36 RBI and 23 extra-base hits.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a double and three-run home run against the Red Sox on Monday night.



      Advice: The home run was Guerrero Jr.’s 10th of the season. He hit a three-run shot 471 feet over the left field wall off Boston reliever Isaiah Campbell. It was Guerrero Jr.’s second consecutive game with a home run and third home run in his last four games. He’s hitting .286 with a .797 OPS and 36 RBI on the season.

      Blake Snell, combing back from a groin strain, will make another rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.

    • Next rehab start coming Friday
      Snell (groin) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday and make another rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Snell showed signs of rust during his first rehab appearance with Sacramento on Sunday, and as expected, he'll make at least one more start in the minors before the club considers activating him from the 15-day injured list.     • Cardinals officially activate Contreras off the IL
      Cardinals activated C Willson Contreras (forearm) off the 10-day IL.

      Advice: It was a quick turnaround for Contreras who had surgery back in early May to repair a fractured left forearm when he was hit by J.D. Martinez’s swing. We should expect the Cardinals to ease Contreras in during the first couple of weeks with an extra day off or two, but his bat will be a welcome addition to the Cardinals’ lineup and fantasy lineups as well.       The Cardinals activated Contreras (forearm) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at catcher and bat third in the Cardinals' series opener versus Atlanta.

      Advice: Contreras was initially expected to miss around 10 weeks after he suffered a fractured left forearm in early May, but he'll make it back from the IL in just six and a half weeks. The Cardinals could manage Contreras' workload carefully as he settles back in with the big club, but fantasy managers should feel free to activate ahead of this week's action.       Kremer (triceps) may need to make another rehab start this week before being reinstated from the 15-day injured list, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

      Advice: Kremer logged 3.2 innings in his first rehab start June 16 while building up to 59 pitches. He made his second start Saturday with Norfolk but needed 39 pitches to record two outs and was charged with five earned runs on five hits and one walk. Baltimore can go with a five-man rotation this week even without Kremer, and if he is able to go deeper into his third rehab start, he could return from the IL as early as July 2 in Seattle.
