    • Slugs 21st homer
Soto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Soto brought New York to within four runs with his two-run swat to center field in the seventh inning, but that was the final tally for either team. The All-Star outfielder is up 21 homers on the campaign, putting him on pace to surpass the career-high 35 long balls he hit last season. Soto has added 63 RBI, 70 runs, four steals and a .300/.438/.568 slash line through 385 plate appearances in his first season as a Yankee. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Posts quality start
Lively (8-4) picked up the win Thursday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Lively nabbed his second consecutive quality start - his fifth of 2024 - and generated his most punchouts since May 20. The 32-year-old was tagged by Paul DeJong for a two-run homer in the sixth inning but was otherwise excellent. Through 77.1 innings, Lively owns a 3.14 ERA and a 67:22 K:BB. He's on pace to make his next start against the Tigers in Detroit. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Homers among three hits
India went 3-for-5 with a home run and two additional runs in Thursday's 8-4 win against the Yankees.

Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases. The hot span has pushed India's season batting average from .241 to .278. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Struggles in Independence Day loss
Stroman (7-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, pitching five innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings.

Advice: Stroman struggled to keep the ball in the park Thursday -- of the five hits he allowed, three were long balls, and all five of the runs he yielded came on home runs. The right-hander hadn't been prone to the long ball coming in, as he hadn't given up a homer in three of his prior four stats. Stroman hasn't been pitching particularly well of late, though, as he has a 6.43 ERA across 21 frames covering his past four outings. The five earned runs he allowed against the Reds tied a season-high mark. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
    • Nabs victory against former team
Montas (4-6) earned the win over the Yankees on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five-plus innings.

Advice: Montas held New York scoreless through four frames before giving up a pair of solo homers in the fifth. That marred his final stat line a bit, and he was pulled after giving up a leadoff double in the sixth, but the veteran right-hander still did enough to pick up his first win since June 4. Montas has a mediocre 4.19 ERA on the campaign, but he's at a 3.27 mark across 22 frames over his past four starts. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
    • Pops solo shot
Westburg went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Westburg has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, going 16-for-54 (.296) with three homers and seven RBI in that span. The infielder is up to 14 homers this season while adding 49 RBI, 42 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .280/.329/.508 slash line across 80 contests. He continues to split time between second base and third base, but he's firmly in the middle of the Orioles' lineup on a near-everyday basis, and he has the production to match that role. • Fares well in no-decision
Miller allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Miller gave up a two-run home run to Gunnar Henderson in the third inning, but he was able to limit the damage there. While he came an out shy of a quality start for the second time in four outings, Miller put in a decent performance to avoid a third straight loss. The right-hander is at a 3.84 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 97:29 K:BB over 103 innings across 18 starts. He's projected for a road outing in San Diego in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 4:39 pm

    • Bryce Miller lasts 5 2/3 frames in no-decision
Bryce Miller allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Advice: Miller surrendered eight hits, including a two-run homer to Orioles superstar Gunnar Henderson, which accounted for all of the damage against him in a low-scoring showdown at T-Mobile Park. He finished with six strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. He’ll bring a respectable 3.84 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 97/29 K/BB ratio across 103 innings (18 starts) into a road tilt on Wednesday against the Padres in his final outing prior to the All-Star break. • Tyler O’Neill drives in two, steals two bases
Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 win over the Marlins on Thursday in 12 innings.

Advice: O’Neill picked up both RBI in extra innings. The first was an infield single to give Boston a 3-2 lead in the 11th, and the next was a double in the 12th that extended the lead for the Red Sox to 6-4. The steals are a bit of a rarity for the outfielder, as they were just the second and third of the season for the 29-year-old. O’Neill certainly has the speed to contribute in that category, so it’s possible he’ll run more in the second half of the campaign. Rotoworld Today, 1:49 pm
