    • Pitches well Tuesday
Nelson allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Joe Mantiply opened for the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, retiring two of the first three batters. Nelson proceeded to allow an inherited runner to score when he entered the game, and he was tagged for another run in the third inning, but that was the extent of the damage. Two of the five times Nelson's held an opponent to one run or fewer this year have come against the Dodgers, though he hasn't been dominant against them by any means. Overall, the right-hander has a 5.42 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 49:19 K:BB through 73 innings over 15 appearances (13 starts). He's projected to make his next appearance at San Diego. • Ryne Nelson excels in no-decision vs. Dodgers
Ryne Nelson delivered a strong performance in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Tuesday, giving up just one run on six hits over his five frames.

Advice: Nelson struck out three batters on the night while allowing one base on balls. He took over in the first inning after Joe Mantiply recorded the first two outs and left a runner at second base. Nelson allowed that inherited runner to score, but escaped the inning unscathed otherwise. The lone run charged to him came as Teoscar Hernandez grounded into a fielder’s choice in the third inning. Nelson got six whiffs on 78 pitches on the night, posting a miserable CSW of only 18 percent. He’ll look to further improve upon his 5.42 ERA and 1.56 WHIP when he does battle against the Padres in San Diego on Sunday. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago
    • Brady Singer pitches well in loss to Rays
Brady Singer pitched well in a losing effort against the Rays on Tuesday night, allowing one run on three hits over his five frames.

Advice: Singer also issued three walks on a rainy evening in Kansas City while punching out four opposing hitters. The only run that scored against him came in the second inning as Richie Palacios scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. The 27-year-old right-hander got 15 swings and misses on 88 pitches on the night — 10 of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 32 percent. He’ll try to get back in the win column as he carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and an 89/29 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Rockies at Coors Field on Sunday. • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out 8 in win over M’s
Grayson Rodriguez was exceptional in Tuesday night’s victory over the Mariners, racking up eight strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 24-year-old budding superstar scattered just two hits and four walks on the evening. Only once did the Mariners advance a runner past second base on Rodriguez in this one, and that came with two outs in the sixth inning before Rodriguez punched out Cal Raleigh to end the threat. He generated a whopping 19 swings and misses on 104 pitches on the night, posting a strong CSW of 32 percent. Now 10-3 on the season, Rodriguez will carry a 3.45 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 97/29 K/BB ratio (88 2/3 innings) into battle against the Athletics in Oakland on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 10:23 pm
    • Earns 10th win
Rodriguez (10-3) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out eight over 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: This was just the second time in his last seven starts that Rodriguez walked multiple batters, but that was virtually the only flaw in his performance Tuesday. It was also his third scoreless outing of the year. Rodriguez is now at a 3.45 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 97:29 K:BB through 88.2 innings over 15 starts. The right-hander is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Cubs for his next appearance if the Orioles go to a six-man rotation, though he could move up to pitch on regular rest at Oakland on Sunday if Baltimore elects to work with five starters. • Earns 31st save
Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley was asked to protect a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so on 17 pitches. He leads the league with 31 saves and has not blown a save chance since his first outing of the season. Through 38 innings, the 29-year-old owns a 2.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB. • Hits grand slam in win
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and added a single in the sixth. He was mired in a 2-for-29 slump but opened July with his first home run since June 19 and first multi-hit effort since June 4. On the season, the second baseman owns a disappointing .192 average but is currently tied with Ketel Marte for tops at the position with 17 home runs. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez has two hits, three RBI in loss
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 390-foot shot off Jose Berrios for Alvarez’s 18th home run on the season to go along with 46 RBI. He has battled some injuries during the year but remains one of the most consistent hitters in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:51 pm

    • Trea Turner homers twice in win over Cubs
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later returned to hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1. The Phillies start shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games. Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago.
