He's lacked power -- he has five extra-base hits across 70 plate appearances -- but has otherwise contributed a well-rounded fantasy line since joining Chicago on April 26.     Moncada (thigh) has resumed baseball activity for roughly the last week, MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Moncada has been swinging from the right side since early May, and he swung left-handed for the first time Monday. It's projected that Moncada won't be back until after the All-Star break, though it's possible he will beat that timeline if he continues to have positive results while ramping up.     Advice: McMahon got the scoring going for the Rockies with a solo blast to right center off Dylan Cease in the fourth. It was his second home run this month and his first since May 3. He's now rocking a four-game hit streak with multiple hits in two of those while only striking out once over that span. McMahon has been one of the most consistent hitters in their lineup so far this year, slashing .308/.389/.481 with six homers, 22 RBI, 18 runs and a 22:50 BB:K in 180 plate appearances.     Advice: Tovar doubled to lead off a five-run sixth for the Rockies and then homered to kick off the seventh. He continued his recent hot streak at the plate and now has at least a hit in eight straight games, slashing .343/.361/.686 with two homers, five RBI and five runs scored over that span. The 31.1 strikeout rate is a bit alarming, but Tovar continues to hit towards the top of the lineup and is still making solid contact with a .275 average over 180 plate appearances thus far.     Mendick (back) went 0-for-5 with a walk in his first rehab game Tuesday with Triple-A Charlotte.

    Advice: Mendick served as Charlotte's designated hitter, so he'll presumably need to resume playing the infield at some point during his rehab assignment before the White Sox bring him back from the 10-day injured list, perhaps as soon as this weekend. Following his promotion from Charlotte on April 22, Mendick had briefly settled into a near-everyday role at third base, but it's unclear if he'll recapture a regular starting gig once activated.     Advice: Bryant played first base in what was his first game action since he went down with a lower-back strain a month ago.     Shohei Ohtani finished 3-for-5 with a homer and a double against the Giants on Tuesday.

    Advice: In what seems to be tracking as the worst year for offense in decades, Ohtani is batting .361/.427/.680 with 12 homers. He’s 69 points of OPS ahead of Marcell Ozuna, who is second in the majors in the category.   • Ezequiel Tovar homers, doubles against Padres
    Ezequiel Tovar collected his fifth homer and 11th double Tuesday in the Rockies’ 6-3 takedown of the Padres.

    Advice: Tovar swings at everything and might have the worst approach of anyone in the majors, but he’s talented enough to be something close to an average hitter anyway. Through 180 plate appearances this year, he’s sporting a .275/.315/.443 line in spite of a 56/8 K/BB ratio. The modest success, and the fact that it’s rewarded by a Rockies team willing to hit him at the top of the lineup, makes it less likely that he’ll ever truly reach his potential.
