    • Nolan Schanuel plates four in loss to Athletics
Nolan Schanuel had a nice night at the dish in Tuesday’s loss to the Athletics, going 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI.

Advice: Schanuel got the Angels off the schneid with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. He then pulled them a bit closer in the seventh with a two-run single that trimmed their deficit to four runs at 7-3. Schanuel also smacked an RBI double off of Mason Miller in the ninth inning and scored on an RBI single by Luis Rengifo. With his two-hit evening, the 22-year-old first baseman is now slashing .239/.311/.355 with eight homers, 30 RBI and a pair of stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 10:01 pm

    • Brandon Drury scores three times in loss to A’s
Brandon Drury singled, drew a pair of walks and scored three runs as the Angels fell to the Athletics on Tuesday evening in Oakland.

Advice: The 31-year-old infielder led off the fifth inning with a single off of Mitch Spence, then scored the Halos’ first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Nolan Schanuel. Drury also led off the seventh inning with a walk and scored on a two-run single by Schanuel. He led off the ninth inning with a walk as well and was once again plated by Schanuel — this time with an RBI double. Drury finished the night 1-for-2 officially and is now hitting .175/.246/.237 with a homer and six RBI through his first 126 plate appearances on the year. Rotoworld Today, 9:59 pm

    • Jose Soriano struggles in return to rotation
Jose Soriano struggled in his return to the Angels’ rotation on Tuesday, giving up four runs on three hits over four innings in a loss to the Angels.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander walked one while striking out four batters on the evening. He cruised through the first three innings unscathed, allowing just one baserunner as he plunked Max Schuemann with two outs in the third. Things fell apart in the fourth though as Brent Rooker crushed a solo homer and Lawrence Butler added a three-run blast. Soriano got six whiffs on 62 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 64/29 K/BB ratio (76 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld Today, 9:55 pm

    • Collects 20th save
Kimbrel hit two batters and struck out two in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Kimbrel was a little wild, but he didn't let the extra traffic on the bases rattle him. After allowing just two runs (one earned) over 9.1 innings in June, he's off to a decent start in July, with this outing also being his 20th save of the campaign. Overall, he's at a 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 46:14 K:BB through 31.1 innings this year. Rotowire.com Today, 9:44 pm
    • Trevor Megill slams door on Rockies in ninth
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Rockies in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, preserving a one-run lead to notch his 18th save of the season.

Advice: The Brewers rallied to score twice in the top half of the ninth inning, setting the stage for Megill to come on and do his thing. The 30-year-old hurler made it look easy once again, getting Ezequiel Tovar on a fly ball to center and Brendan Rodgers on a swinging third strike to begin the inning. He did allow a two-out single to Ryan McMahon, but battled back to get Elias Diaz on a swinging third strike to end it. Megill has been awesome in the closer’s role for the Brewers this season, converting 18 of his 19 save chances while registering a masterful 1.59 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm
    • Dallas Keuchel pitches well in no-decision Tuesday
Dallas Keuchel pitched well in a no-decision against the Rockies on Tuesday night, allowing just two runs on four hits across 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 36-year-old southpaw racked up five strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning as Brenton Doyle slugged a solo homer and Michael Toglia added a sacrifice fly. Aside from that though, Keuchel was terrific at Coors Field. He got eight swings and misses on 78 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 23 percent. Keuchel will attempt to further improve upon his 6.75 ERA and 1.61 WHIP when he takes on the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm

    • Brenton Doyle homers again in loss to Brewers
Brenton Doyle homered for the third time in his last two games on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Brewers at Coors Field.

Advice: Doyle got the Rockies on the board an evened the score at a run apiece with his 374-foot (94.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. He also smacked a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning that briefly gave the Rockies a 3-2 advantage. The dynamic outfielder finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.328/.424 with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm

    • Ryan Feltner delivers strong start in no-decision
Ryan Feltner delivered a strong start in a no-decision against the Brewers on Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits over his five frames.

Advice: The right-hander punched out three batters on the evening while allowing a pair of walks. The lone tally against him came in the second inning on an RBI single off the bat of Sal Frelick. The Brewers then loaded the bases with two outs in the inning, but the 27-year-old hurler got Brice Turang to ground out to end the threat. Feltner generated seven swings and misses on 83 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll carry a 5.60 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 78/25 K/BB ratio (91 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Royals. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm
