    • Out of Pittsburgh lineup
Olivares is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Olivares started in Wednesday's win over St. Louis in the cleanup spot but went hitless. Connor Joe is drawing the start in right field for the series finale Thursday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:06 am
    • In lineup against lefty
Dunn started in right field, batted ninth and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Dunn was called up ahead of Wednesday's game and added to the lineup to give the Reds an all righty-hitting outfield against a left-hander. This is the second stint in the majors this season for Dunn, who is 1-for-13 with a walk, double and run scored over eight games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:58 am

    • Jesús Sánchez collects three hits, RBI in loss
Jesús Sánchez went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday in the Marlins’ loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Sánchez was one of the few bright spots for Miami in this one as he opened the scoring with a run-scoring single off Red Sox starter Brayan Bello and wound up finishing with three hits. Unfortunately, the rest of the Marlins’ lineup wound up tallying just six hits combined in an eventual blowout loss. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:40 pm
    • Reds recalled OF Blake Dunn from Triple-A
Reds recalled OF Blake Dunn from Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Dunn hit .228 with five home runs and 24 RBI in 55 games at Triple-A this year. He’ll get another chance with this being his second stint with the Reds this year. Levi Jordan was optioned to Triple-A as the corresponding move. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:21 pm

    • Back with big club
The Reds recalled Dunn from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: The Reds wanted more of a pure outfielder on the bench rather than Levi Jordan, who can play the outfield but who is an infielder by trade. Dunn went 1-for-10 at the dish in an earlier stint in the majors. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:09 pm

    • Three hits in loss
Melendez went 3-for-3 with a double in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Melendez accounted for half of the Royals' hits in the loss. This was his second multi-hit effort in the last three games, but he went just 3-for-19 over a seven-game stretch prior to his recent rebound. The outfielder continues to struggle overall with a .191/.258/.366 slash line, eight home runs, 24 RBI, 21 runs scored and two stolen bases through 256 plate appearances in a strong-side platoon role. • Spencer Horwitz homers in win
Spencer Horwitz went 1-for-4 with a home run in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: The rookie hit two balls over 100 mph tonight with a 102.6 mph lineout and then a 101.6 mph home run that went 377 feet for his third home run of the season. It took a bit of time for the Blue Jays to play Horwitz regularly, but he has been starting against all right-handed pitchers of late and is hitting .306/.442/.500 in 22 MLB games. He hits second every time he plays and should continue to post strong batting averages and on-base percentages. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:02 pm
    • Back in action
Brujan (undisclosed) is batting seventh and playing second base Tuesday against Boston.

Advice: Brujan was scratched from Saturday's game against Philadelphia for unspecified reasons and remained out of the lineup for Sunday's contest. However, he'll enter the starting nine at second base Tuesday while Xavier Edwards plays shortstop. With Tim Anderson booted from the 40-man roster, Brujan should see regular playing time in the infield moving forward. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 am

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Olivares is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: He's been the preferred option over Connor Joe in right field for the Pirates lately, but Joe is getting the call there for Tuesday's contest. Olivares had started seven of the previous eight contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:42 am
