    • Goes seven innings strong
Singer (5-5) picked up the win Sunday against Colorado, allowing one run on six hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Singer picked up his first win since May 19 and was able to minimize the impacts of Coors Field, allowing no extra-base hits in seven innings of work. Although Singer's efforts haven't resulted in wins, he's allowed less than three earned runs in seven of his last nine starts and has logged a quality start in three of his last five outings. Through 101.1 innings, Singer owns a 2.93 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, which is scheduled to come during a weekend series in Boston. • Fans four in return
Cabrera yielded two runs on four hits and a walk in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out four during Miami's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Cabrera made his first MLB appearance since May 7 after a two-month stint on the IL due to a shoulder issue. He looked solid through three scoreless frames before coughing up a two-run homer to Danny Mendick in the fourth inning. Cabrera walked just one batter but struggled to command the strike zone, throwing just 47 of 82 pitches for strikes. He's now sporting a 6.84 ERA with a 35:15 K:BB through 25 innings. Cabrera's next outing is projected to be in Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:51 pm
    • Corbin Carroll hits first homer in two months
Corbin Carroll took the Padres’ Dylan Cease deep Sunday for his first homer since May 7.

Advice: Carroll hit the ball 397 feet, his second-farthest shot this year. It’s the first time since that May 7 homer that he’d hit one over 370 feet. Carroll has just one 400-foot blast this season, compared to 21 last year. We still wouldn’t say there’s a whole lot to be encouraged about here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm

    • Brady Singer goes seven for first win since May
Brady Singer limited the Rockies to one run over seven innings and struck out seven in a victory Sunday.

Advice: Singer has allowed exactly one run in four straight outings, taking his ERA back down to 2.93. An easy stretch of the schedule has helped, though he did have the nice outing today at Coors Field. The victory is his first since May 18, as he evened his record at 5-5. • Cabrera solid in first start off IL
Edward Cabrera allowed two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: This was Cabrera’s first start in over two months, so the abbreviated outing was part of the plan. The right-hander started the game with 3 2/3 shutout innings, striking out four. He then allowed a single and a two-run home run to Danny Mendick, before Marlins’ manager Skip Schumaker decided to remove Cabrera from the game. However, Cabrera was able to induce 14 whiffs on 35 swings for a 40 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. He also had just a 38 percent zone rate on the day, which will always be part of the issue with the 26-year-old. He has great stuff, but the command is iffy, which makes him a risky streamer. • Jesse Winker doubles twice in loss
Jesse Winker went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Winker continues to mash. His two doubles took his season total to 17 and he has six in his last 23 plate appearances. It was bizarre to watch his downturn over the past few seasons but he seems back to being the patient, all-fields hitter he was when he was at his best. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:48 pm

    • Snaps out of power slump
Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies.

Advice: Olson took rookie Michael Mercado deep in the second inning to break out of a 14-game homerless drought. It was Olson's second separate streak of 14 or more games without a homer this season, after only having one such streak all of last season. The 30-year-old entered the game in a 10-for-65 slump with just two extra-base hits and three RBI in his last 18 games, so he'll try to find some positive momentum headed into the All-Star break. • Getting mental day off
Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: According to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said that Garcia isn't dealing with an injury and is getting "more of a mental day than a physical day" as the Rangers wrap up their series with the Rays. Travis Jankowski will occupy right field in place of Garcia, who has gone hitless over 10 at-bats in his last three starts to bring his season-long batting average down to .215. • Adolis García not starting Sunday against Rays
Adolis García is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s bout against the Rays.

Advice: García will take a seat to begin Sunday’s game as he continues to struggle with a .215/.280/.413 slash, and he’s gone hitless in his last 10 at-bats over three games. Travis Jankowski will be the starting right fielder with Derek Hill the designated hitter. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 am
