    • Swats first homer since return
Contreras went 1-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Pirates.

Advice: The 32-year-old catcher tied the game at 3-3 in the eighth inning by taking Colin Holderman deep. It was Contreras' seventh homer of the year but his first in nine games since returning from a fractured forearm, a stretch in which he's batting just .200 (6-for-30). He does have extra-base hits in back-to-back contests after ripping a double Tuesday however, so he's showing signs of regaining his form at the plate. On the season, Contreras is slashing .263/.395/.504 through 40 games. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago
    • Swats first homer of season
Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a 3-2 win against the Yankees.

Advice: Marte produced the bulk of Cincinnati's offense with his two-run blast in the second inning. That was his first hit in five games since going 3-for-5 in his return from an 80-game suspension June 27. Marte is batting .167 overall since being reinstated, collecting four RBI, five runs and two stolen bases across six contests. Rotowire.com Today, 12:28 am

    • Unimpressive in return to majors
Scott surrendered four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus Washington on Wednesday.

Advice: Scott was called up from Triple-A on Wednesday to log his first big-league start since May 30, but he didn't make much of an impression. The rookie right-hander tied a season-worst mark by allowing four runs, and he struck out a season-low two batters. It was an especially disappointing outcome for Scott after he retired 12 of the first 14 batters he faced -- six of the eight baserunners he allowed came over his final 1.2 frames, and he departed after giving up a three-run homer to Luis Garcia with two outs in the sixth. Despite the overall poor result, there's a good chance Scott will get at least another turn through the rotation with New York not having an off day until the All-Star break and with Tylor Megill recently demoted to the minors. • Big effort in win
Greene went 3-for-4 with a triple, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Greene was an offensive force as he recorded his 16th home run of the season and pushed his OPS up to .851. The 23-year-old had already surpassed his previous career best of 11 home runs in a season, and he's now up to a career-high 43 RBI this year as well after Wednesday's effort. Greene could be closing in on his first All-Star appearance, but at the very least he's been a strong fantasy asset who continues to trend upward given his promising skill set. • Collects 13th save
Alvarado allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: This was Alvarado's first save since June 11, as Jeff Hoffman and Seranthony Dominguez had poached the last three saves. Alvarado remains the Phillies' top closer with 13 saves on the year, with Hoffman (seven), Gregory Soto (two) and Dominguez (one) rounding out the high-leverage group. Over 35 innings this season, Alvarado has maintained a strong 3.09 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 38:12 K:BB. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm
    • James McArthur records five-out save against Rays
James McArthur went 1 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Rays to earn the save. He allowed one hit and struck out one batter.

Advice: It wasn’t easy for McArthur who had to navigate an eighth inning in which he inherited two base runners and then saw Kyle Isbel make a phenomenal catch off a Taylor Walls line drive with Ben Rortvedt on second base in the ninth. Still, he closed this one out to earn his 15th save of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:15 pm
    • José Alvarado silences Cubs to net 13th save
José Alvarado fired a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Cubs to record his 13th save of the season.

Advice: Alvarado was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning at Wrigley Field and managed to work around a one-out single by David Bote to preserve the victory. The 29-year-old lefty has converted 13 of his 15 save opportunities this season for Philadelphia. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:53 pm
    • Riley Greene has three hits, homer in lopsided win
Riley Greene went 3-for-4 with a homer, triple and two RBI on Wednesday evening, helping to lead the Tigers to victory over the Twins.

Advice: Greene smacked a two-out triple in the first inning, but the Tigers were unable to cash him in. He then reached on an infield single to load the bases with two outs in the third inning, then rode home on Carson Kelly’s grand slam. He also clubbed a 427-foot (111.8 mph EV) two-run blast off of David Festa in the fifth inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 7-1. With the three-hit attack, the dynamic 23-year-old outfielder is now hitting .260/.354/.497 with a team-leading 16 homers, 43 RBI and four stolen bases on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm

    • Noelvi Marte slugs first homer in win over Yankees
Noelvi Marte walloped a two-run homer on Wednesday, powering the Reds to a 3-2 victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Marte kicked off the scoring on Wednesday evening at Yankee Stadium with a 111.5-mph rocket into the left-field seats off New York starter Carlos Rodón in the second inning. It was his first round-tripper in six games since returning from a league-issued 80-game PED suspension back on June 27. The 22-year-old top prospect continues to show flashes of massive fantasy potential, but he’s gotten off to a pretty slow start as he re-acclimates to everyday life in the majors after an extended layoff. It might not all come together this season, but Marte has the skills to be a four-category fantasy monster in the near future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm
