    • Not yet doing on-field activity
Trout (knee) has yet to progress to performing on-field activities, per MLB.com.

Advice: Trout has been out of action since being diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee near the end of April. Los Angeles has thus far kept him on the 10-day IL, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near being activated -- or even beginning a minor-league rehab stint -- given his lack of baseball activity. Trout is expected to return to action at some point this season, but the Angels are unlikely to rush him back given their position in the standings, and his timeframe for rejoining the team remains very hazy. • Placed on paternity list
Heim was placed on the paternity list Saturday.

Advice: Heim will be away from the team for up to three days as he is with his family for the birth of his third child. In the meantime, fellow catcher Sam Huff was called up from Triple-A Round Rock to replace him on the major-league roster. Rotowire.com Today, 1:12 pm

    • Rangers place Jonah Heim on paternity list
Rangers placed C Jonah Heim on the paternity list.

Advice: The hard-hitting 28-year-old backstop will be away from the team for a few days to welcome a new addition to his family. Sam Huff was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock and will help share the load behind the plate while Heim is away. Rotoworld Today, 1:04 pm

    • Returns to leadoff spot
Pham went 1-for-4 Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Pham returned from a short stint on the injured list and immediately regained his status as the White Sox's leadoff hitter. He's delivered effective all-around production since joining the club in late April, tallying three homers and three steals while hitting .279 across 146 plate appearances. • Serves up homer
Bednar allowed one earned run on one hit while striking out one Friday against the Rockies.

Advice: Bednar was called upon to preserve a 5-1 lead in the ninth inning. He retired the first two batters he faced without issue but then served up a solo home run to Charlie Blackmon. Bednar has now given up a home run in consecutive appearances, though the Pirates still won on both occasions. Rotowire.com Today, 7:09 am

    • Heating up
Candelario went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Candelario belted a two-run home run in the fifth inning to help the Reds overcome a sloppy day in the field (five errors) and on the mound (eight walks). The home run was his third in the last two games and sixth during the month of June. After an inconsistent first two months, Candelario's bat is heating up this month. He's batting .346 (18-for-52) with nine extra-base hits, 13 RBI, two steals and eight runs over 12 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 am

    • Shane Baz strikes out eight on Friday at Triple-A
Shane Baz struck out eight and allowed one run over six innings on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: It’s time. Baz followed up last weekend’s 10-strikeout gem with another dazzling performance, allowing just four hits and one walk over six masterful frames. The 24-year-old top pitching prospect has completed his rehabilitation process from Tommy John surgery and appears poised to return to the majors at some point this month. He averaged 96.5 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one, while generating 14 swinging strikes and finishing with an astronomical 45 percent CSW. His ability to consistently generate whiffs on his fastball/slider combo will drive his fantasy appeal moving forward. Simply put, he should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this juncture. • Jeimer Candelario homers in win over Brewers
Jeimer Candelario delivered a two-run homer and a double Friday as the Reds edged the Brewers 6-5.

Advice: Not a bad followup to his two-homer game Wednesday. Candelario has 12 homers, eight of which have come in his last 19 games. Those who weighed dropping him a few weeks ago have been rewarded for their patience. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:25 pm

    • Turns in quality start
Stone allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Stone's three-start winning streak was snapped, but he picked up his first quality start over three outings in June. The right-hander has been steady this year -- this was just the fourth time in 13 starts he's given up three or more runs. He's now at a 3.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 74.2 innings. Stone is projected to make his next start at Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm
