Advice: Kinsler hasn't started the last two games with rib soreness and said he still felt discomfort during batting practice on Sunday. The Rangers aren't overly concerned about the injury, but top prospect Jurickson Profar will be called up to replace Kinsler on the active roster. Kinsler is batting .302/.369/.500 with seven home runs through his first 40 games this season.

It's possible that the oft-injured infielder is trying to play through a malady that would be better treated by rest.

Advice: Kendrick hasn't had many RBI opportunities batting in the sixth spot for the Angels, but he surprisingly managed six home runs this season. The 29-year-old second baseman is batting .370 (10-for-27) with a home run and two doubles over his last seven games.

Advice: It's a shame Kendrick is batting sixth for the Angels, because it's not giving him many RBI opportunities, particularly with Josh Hamilton off to such a rough start. Kendrick is batting .294 with a surprising six homers, but it's resulted in a modest 18 RBI and 13 runs scored to date.

Advice: Cabrera has now stolen a base in four consecutive games, bumping him to the National League leader with 15. The shortstop will never post a good batting average, but he's getting on base more and running as effectively as ever. The 26-year-old shortstop batted .246/.324/.324 with a league-leading 44 stolen bases last season and is a decent bet to improve upon all numbers in 2013.

Advice: Cabrera's 13 steals rank second in the National League. A better real-life than fantasy player, Cabrera's value comes in the form of his legs (steals and runs) and eyes (walks). He looks poised to have a career year.

Advice: Raburn lived a charmed life in April, slashing .320/.370/.620 in the season's opening month. The wheels have come off since he went 4-for-5 against the Phillies on May 1. Since that time, he's seen his OPS deflate from 1.061 to .871 with no signs of slowing. Raburn began losing playing time when Michael Bourne returned, but there was hope he'd grab some playing time following the demotion of Lonnie Chisenhall. ESPN Fantasy reports that Raburn has been dropped from 35.6% of baseball leagues over the past week. He's now owned in just 32.1%, a number that's still too high.

Advice: The young infielder is third in the NL with 33 runs scored. Carpenter's slash line of .263/.333/.442 in April was solid, but he's really turned up the heat in May, batting .375/.470/.482. If Carpenter can convert some of his doubles (14) into home runs (three), he'll eradicate a fantasy weakness to this point. Despite his hot stick, Carpenter has driven in only 14 runs. He's not a threat to run, either.

Advice: Izturis isn't walking or making contact this season, and you already know his swing is punchless. Toronto was hoping for more than a .218/.242/.331 slash line when they signed Izturis from the Angels over the winter to a three-year, $9 million deal and the Jays recently sat him in three of four games.

Kansas City is making due with Elliot Johnson and Miguel Tejada at second, which tells you all you need to know about their opinion of Getz. With additional help on the way from the farm, Getz may have just squandered his last opportunity to seize a starting major league gig.

Advice: Cano left Scott Boras for Jay-Z's Roc Nation last month, with Brodie Van Wagenen from CAA handling contract negotiations. "We've had several conversations with Brodie, just as we did with Scott and a lot of it is procedural," said Steinbrenner. "But we're going to continue in the weeks to come to work through things and try to come to an agreement." Cano is due to become a free agent after the season and could command a deal approaching $200 million. Still, Steinbrenner is optimistic that they'll be able to keep him in pinstripes for life.

It's certainly not the start Arizona expected after acquiring Prado in the Justin Upton trade and subsequently signed him to a four-year, $40 million contract extension. Sporting his trademark multi-position eligibility and playing in cozy Chase Field, now might be the time to buy low. Prado entered the year a .319/.370/.447 career hitter in Arizona.

Advice: It's the first time he's done so since plantar fasciitis in his right foot sent him to the DL prior to the season. Forsythe also took ground balls before Thursday's game. "He's on the field doing baseball activities stuff, so he's on the way back," Padres manager Bud Black said. "He's on the mend." The team hasn't revealed a timetable for Forsythe, but he should be ready sometime next month if all goes well.
