• On bench versus lefty
Lopez is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Brewers.

Advice: Lopez will take a seat as Chicago faces left-hander Robert Gasser on the mound Saturday. Danny Mendick will slide over to second base while Lenyn Sosa enters the lineup at third base and bats sixth against Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Today, 9:27 am

  • ‘No timetable’ for Trea Turner (hamstring) yet
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, but doesn’t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies can’t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario. • Two extra-base hits
DeJong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double Friday against the Brewers.

Advice: DeJong led off the third inning with a solo home run, his eighth long ball of the season and first since May 20. In the 10 games since, he's hit just .182 with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate. Nevertheless, DeJong is locked into a near everyday role at shortstop and has maintained .202 ISO with a 103 wRC+ across 176 plate appearances on the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 8:34 am

  • Three hits in Friday's win
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 25-year-old has five hits in the last two games as he solidifies his hold on the starting job at second base for the Marlins. Lopez isn't supplying any power right now, however -- while he's batting .325 (13-for-40) over his last 11 games with three steals, three runs and eight RBI, his last extra-base hit was a double May 18. • Homers in loss
Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Smith cracked his third home run of the season in the fourth inning. While he won't be a 1-for-1 replacement for the injured Josh Jung (wrist), Smith has done a credible job as the Rangers' primary third baseman. Smith is batting .279/.374/.419 with three homers, 13 doubles, one triple, 22 RBI and 26 runs over 198 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:13 am

  • Pilfers ninth bag
Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 7-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Getting the start at shortstop and batting eighth, Hamilton produced his second three-hit performance in the last eight games. The 26-year-old infielder has claimed a regular spot in Boston's starting lineup over the second half of May, and through the last 14 games he's slashing .375/.432/.575 with three doubles, a triple, a homer, four RBI, seven runs and five of his nine stolen bases on the season. • Goes yard twice in win
Rafaela went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's 7-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Per Ian Browne of MLB.com, Rafaela has made some tweaks to his swing mechanics in an attempt to get going at the plate, and the adjustments seem to be paying off. The 23-year-old put together his first career multi-homer game by launching a three-run shot off Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning before tagging Joey Wentz for a two-run blast in the sixth that just cleared the Green Monster. Over the last 11 games, Rafaela is batting .289 (11-for-38) with three homers, two steals, nine runs and 10 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:02 am

  • Launches pinch-hit homer
Espinal entered as a pinch hitter and went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Espinal pinch hit for Will Benson against lefty reliever Drew Smyly and launched his third home run of the season to give the Reds a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. It was the first time in four games that Espinal appeared in game. The utility infielder has been useful while the Reds deal with early season injuries. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 am

  • Preserves win with arm
De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Fridays 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: De La Cruz's MLB-leading 32nd steal had no impact on the game, but the shortstop's cannon arm did. His 93.3 mph relay gunned down the potential tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning to preserve Cincinnati's win. Rotowire.com Today, 5:50 am
