    • Adolis García slugs seventh homer versus Mariners
Adolis García went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Mariners.

Advice: García put the Rangers on the board with solo homer off Bryce Miller in the fourth inning, his seventh of the season. He later reached on a groundout and scored on a triple by Evan Carter. The 31-year-old slugger is enjoying an outstanding start to the season, hitting .312/.359/.613 with seven homers, 23 RBI, and four steals across 103 plate appearances. • Luis Arraez posts three hits in loss to Braves
Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Braves.

Advice: Just like that, Arraez is batting .299 (32-for-107) after notching his seventh multi-hit performance in the last two weeks. He sparked Miami’s ninth-inning rally against Braves stopper Raisel Iglesias with a leadoff single to cap off a three-hit effort. He’s in the midst of an extended hot streak at the moment and it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he were back in the batting title race in a few weeks. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm

    • Resumes on-field work
Yelich (back) was spotted running on the field prior to Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Pirates, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: While Yelich's ability to take part in some form of on-field activity is a positive sign as he works his way back from a lower-back strain, he has yet to resume swinging a bat or playing catch since landing on the 10-day injured list on April 16. The Brewers haven't set a firm target date for Yelich's return to the lineup, but at the very least, he doesn't look as though he'll be ready to come off the IL when first eligible this weekend. • Mookie Betts tallies four hits in Dodgers’ win
Mookie Betts went 4-for-6 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Nationals.

Advice: Is there anything left to say at this juncture? Betts’ surreal start to the 2024 campaign continued in Los Angeles’ lopsided win at Nationals Park with his third four-hit performance of the year, raising his batting average to an astronomical .365 (38-for-104) in the process. The 31-year-old five-category fantasy superstar has scored 26 runs to go along with six homers, 21 RBI and five steals through 26 contests. Rotoworld Today, 6:38 pm

    • Wilyer Abreu collects four more hits in victory
Wilyer Abreu went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI against the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: The Red Sox would have been perfectly justified in sending down Abreu at the end of the spring or 10 days into the season, but he’s on some kind of tear now, having gone 13-for-25 with two homers, five doubles, seven RBI and three walks in his last six games. He’s even reached on errors twice during the span. His season OPS is all of the way up to .954, and it looks like he’ll be a fixture in right field until he cools off, making him at least a short-term option in mixed leagues. • William Contreras leads Brewers past Pirates
William Contreras went 3-for-4 with a walk, run scored and an RBI on Wednesday night, leading the Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

Advice: Contreras hit out of the leadoff spot for the Brewers on Wednesday and reached base in four of his five plate appearances. He opened the scoring in the game with an RBI single off of Luis Ortiz in the third inning, then trotted home as Blake Perkins worked a bases-loaded walk. With his three-hit attack, the 26-year-old backstop is slashing a sizzling .359/.439/.543 with four homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and a stolen base through his first 23 games. • Run bases Wednesday
Albies (toe) took part in baserunning as part of a workout prior to Atlanta's game against the Marlins on Wednesday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Albies continues to trend in a positive direction in his recovery from a fractured right big toe, which he sustained April 16. The second baseman had already participated in fielding drills and resumed swinging a bat in recent days, and being able to run the bases is another sign that he's no longer inhibited by the injury. Albies is first eligible for activation from the 10-day injured list Friday, and he appears on track to play this weekend versus the Guardians if he avoids any setbacks coming out of Wednesday's workout. • Tyler Anderson takes tough loss to Orioles
Tyler Anderson pitched five innings of two-run ball Wednesday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Anderson struck out a season-high seven and walked a season-high four while throwing 105 pitches in five innings. He still has a nifty 1.78 ERA after five turns, and we still suggest staying far away from him in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 4:17 pm

    • Riding pine Wednesday
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Gurriel will join fellow lineup regulars Ketel Marte and Gabriel Moreno on the bench for the series finale while Arizona looks to rest some key players for the day game after a night game. Jake McCarthy will fill in in left field for Gurriel, who went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and three runs in Tuesday's 14-1 win. Rotowire.com Today, 7:13 am
