    Stone allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday.

    Advice: Stone's three-start winning streak was snapped, but he picked up his first quality start over three outings in June. The right-hander has been steady this year -- this was just the fourth time in 13 starts he's given up three or more runs. He's now at a 3.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 74.2 innings.     Gavin Stone didn’t factor into the decision Saturday against the Royals after allowing three runs over seven innings with three strikeouts.

    Advice: Stone allowed four hits and walked two while throwing 61-of-94 pitches in the strike zone. The 25-year-old allowed all three runs on a long roundtripper by Salvador Perez. Minus that gaffe, it was another solid start for Stone against a pretty tough Kansas City lineup. He’s currently scheduled to face the Rockies on Thursday in Colorado.     Ranger Suárez scattered six hits across 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Friday against the Orioles. He struck out six, walked two, and allowed one earned run.

    Advice: Relative to the rest of his season, this was a difficult start for Suárez and he still allowed just one run against one of the best offenses in baseball. He kept the ball down, mixed all five of his pitches, and hit his spots when he needed to. Especially tough on lefties, he made Gunnar Henderson look as frustrated as he’s been all season with two nasty punch outs. Suárez’s Cy Young campaign will march on next week against the Padres.     CJ Abrams had two singles, a double, a walk, two RBI, and a run scored in a win over the Marlins on Friday.

    Advice: Abrams started the game with a double and notched two hits in the Nationals’ seven-run third inning. He’s trended down some since a torrid first few weeks of the season but still carries a solid .257/.308/.489 slash line with 11 home runs and 10 stolen bases on the season.     Kittredge allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Pirates.

    Advice: The Cardinals' bullpen delivered 4.2 scoreless innings, with Kittredge closing it out since Ryan Helsley had pitched each of the two previous days. The save was Kittredge's first of the year to go with 18 holds and three blown saves over 33 appearances. He's hit a rough patch since May 25, allowing eight runs (seven earned) over his last 9.2 innings, but he remains firmly in the high-leverage mix for the Cardinals.
