• Charged with loss
Kittredge (1-4) allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and a walk while striking out two over 1.1 innings to take the extra-inning loss Wednesday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Kittredge pitched the ninth inning, but he stumbled when tasked with working the 10th. He walked Andrew McCutchen, and then JoJo Romero gave up back-to-back RBI singles, sticking two runs on Kittredge's line in the walk-off loss. Over his last 10.2 innings, Kittredge has been tagged for nine runs (six earned) while posting a 7:4 K:BB. The rough patch hasn't cost him a high-leverage role, but it's made him a little more difficult to trust. For the year, he has a 3.35 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 35:12 K:BB with a save, 24 holds and four blown saves through 37.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 10:03 am
  • Doing drills at 70-to-75 percent
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Harper (hamstring) is currently able to go through drills at 70-to-75 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Harper is eligible for activation July 9 as he works his way back from a strained left hamstring. While the Phillies won't hesitate to activate Harper next week if he's ready, they do have the All-Star break looming the following week if they decide to give the first baseman a little more time. • Working out at 90 percent intensity
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Schwarber (groin) is going through drills at 90 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Meanwhile, Thomson pegged Bryce Harper (hamstring) and J.T. Realmuto (knee) at 70-to-75 percent as they go through drills. While it's possible all three players make it back prior to the All-Star break, Schwarber would appear to have the best shot to do so. He's coming back from a left groin strain. • Lasts only three innings
Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings while striking out three.

Advice: Stone battled with Arizona's lineup from the jump, allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the opening frame before allowing another three baserunners in the second. He then surrendered four runs on four hits in the third, including a two-run homer off the bat of Gabriel Moreno as the Diamondbacks evened the score at four runs apiece. The right-hander would not return for the fourth after needing 77 pitches to get through three frames, marking his shortest outing since April 7 against the Cubs. Stone had gone at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts coming in, though he's now walked multiple batters in five of his last six. Rotowire.com Today, 7:31 am

  • Taking seat against southpaw
Gorman is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Pittsburgh.

Advice: Left-hander Martin Perez is drawing the start on the mound for the Pirates, so the lefty-hitting Gorman will begin this one on the bench. Jose Fermin will occupy second base for the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Today, 6:58 am

  • Gavin Stone struggles against Diamondbacks
Gavin Stone allowed four runs with three strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: This wasn’t one Stone’s best outings as the Diamondbacks chased him after just three frames. A base hit and two walks loaded the bases before the Diamondbacks brought a run in on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. He worked around a bases-loaded jam in the second, then gave up three runs, including a two-run blast by Gabriel Moreno, in the third. That was it for Stone, ending his day with a 3.03 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 73/28 K/BB ratio across 92 innings. He’ll take on the Phillies in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:35 pm

  • Bobby Witt Jr. on base three times in win
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Witt paced the Royals in this one and was the engine for their offense. His third inning double got them on the board and a key walk in the seventh set Salvador Perez up for his huge two-run single to put this game out of reach. Witt remains one of the most productive and dependable players in baseball with a .314/.366/.543 slash line to go along with 13 home runs and 22 stolen bases. That’s not a bad first half for a 24-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:13 pm

  • Bryce Harper leads N.L. All-Star vote getters
Bryce Harper led all National League players in voting for the All-Star Game, getting named to his eighth All-Star team.

Advice: What remains unclear is whether or not Harper — who is currently stationed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, will be able to participate in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the National League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): C: William Contreras (2 - 1x starter), 1B: Bryce Harper (8 - 7x starter), 2B: Ketel Marte (2 - 2x starter), SS: Trea Turner (3 - 2x starter), 3B: Alec Bohm (1 - 1x starter), DH: Shohei Ohtani (4 - 4x starter), OF: Christian Yelich (3 - 2x starter), Jurickson Profar (1 - 1x starter) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (2 - 2x starter). • Resting Wednesday
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Wednesday's game versus Detroit.

Advice: Jeffers and Christian Vazquez continue to alternate starts behind the plate, with Wednesday marking Vazquez's turn to catch. Jeffers went 0-for-4 with an RBI during Tuesday's win, leaving him hitless in eight at-bats over his last two contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:37 pm
