    Scott allowed two walks over 1.1 scoreless innings and earned a save against the Reds on Sunday. He struck out two batters.

    Advice: Scott faced a two-on, two-out situation in the ninth inning but struck out Edwin Rios to close out the 3-2 win. He's riding a 12.1-inning scoreless streak while converting six straight save chances. He's now 14 for 16 in save opportunities with a stellar 1.34 ERA through 39 appearances.   • Hurting but won't miss start
    Suarez won't be available for Tuesday's All-Star Game while he recovers from back tightness, but the Phillies expect him to be available to make his first start of the second half July 22 or 23 in Minnesota, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

    Advice: Suarez hasn't been forced to miss any time due to the back issue and likely would have been available to start during the upcoming week if the Phillies needed him, but he'll instead use the All-Star break to heal up while he's less than 100 percent healthy. Though he's in the midst of a career-best season and was looking forward to pitching in his first Midsummer Classic, Suarez clearly hasn't been at his best of late, as he has struggled to an 8.62 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB in 15.2 innings over his last three starts, two of which have come against sub-.500 clubs in the Marlins and Athletics. Suarez won't travel to Arlington, Texas, for the All-Star Game and will instead remain in Philadelphia to continue throwing. Zack Wheeler is also tending to a back issue and will skip the All-Star Game, but both he and Suarez are expected to take the hill in some order when the Phillies next require fourth and fifth starters July 22 and 23.     Advice: Burleson heads into the All-Star break on a tear with four homers and 11 RBI across his last seven games. The outfielder is up to a .288/.320/.494 slash line, 17 long balls, 53 RBI, 41 runs scored, 14 doubles and seven stolen bases across 89 contests.   • Burleson homers again in loss
    Alec Burleson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Cubs on Sunday.

    Advice: Burleson took Jameson Taillon deep in the sixth inning for his 17th home run of the season to go along with 53 RBI and a .288/.320/.494 triple slash. He was an afterthought in the Cardinals’ outfield heading into the season but has proven to be a more than capable MLB starter.   • Scott snags 14th save in win over Mets
    Tanner Scott escaped a ninth-inning jam to secure a 3-2 win over the Reds on Sunday and pick up his 14th save.

    Advice: Scott was called on to face Spencer Steer with two outs in the eighth inning and a runner on first, and he got Steer to foul out. He then walked the first batter of the ninth inning and after a groundout moved the runner to second base, intentionally walked another batter before getting Edwin Rias swinging to end the game.   • Homers in Game 1 win Saturday
    Burleson went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in an 11-3 win over the Cubs in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader.

    Advice: Burleson also went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in the nightcap. He's driven in 10 runs over his last six games, and he's batting .327 (16-for-49) over 12 contests in July.   • Carlos Estévez keeps rolling Saturday with 17th save
    Carlos Estévez fired a perfect ninth inning on Saturday against the Mariners to collect his 17th save of the season.

    Advice: Estévez, who has reeled off 15 consecutive scoreless appearances dating back to May 21, has been the subject of persistent trade rumors over the last few weeks and figures to be dealt to a contender at the upcoming trade deadline. The 31-year-old righty has converted 17 of 20 save chances this season to accompany a solid 2.61 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 31/4 K/BB ratio across 31 innings (31 appearances).     Advice: Harper's solo home run in the seventh inning marked a personal milestone, as he has now homered against all 30 major-league organizations. He also walked twice and added a two-run double in his best effort since returning from the injured list July 9. With one game to go before the break, the National League's starting first baseman in the upcoming All-Star Game is batting .303 with 21 home runs, 61 RBI, 55 runs and four steals across 354 plate appearances.
