• Nick Gordon homers in win over Phillies
Nick Gordon went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the Marlins 3-2 win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Gordon took Aaron Nola deep for a solo homer in the second inning to put the Marlins on the board. He got on base with a single in the ninth for his second hit of the day. The 28-year-old outfielder is slashing .232/.255/.401 with eight homers, 29 RBI, and five steals across 216 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:50 pm

  • Garrett Stubbs homers in loss to Marlins
Garrett Stubbs went 1-for-2 with a solo homer against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Stubbs put the Phillies on the board with a solo homer off Roddery Muñoz to lead off the third inning, his first homer of the season. It was one of two runs the Phillies would score in the loss to Miami. The 29-year-old backstop has taken over as the primary catcher with J.T. Realmuto on the injured list. He’s slashing .216/.281/.261 across 96 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:50 pm

  • Roddery Muñoz allows two runs in no-decision
Roddery Muñoz allowed two runs with four strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Muñoz worked through two scoreless frames before Garrett Stubbs took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the third inning. A walk, base hit, and sacrifice fly would bring in a second run for the Phillies in the fifth inning before Muñoz was replaced on the mound with two outs at 79 pitches. He struck out four. The 24-year-old ends the day with a 5.58 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and a 38/20 K/BB ratio across 40 1/3 innings. He’s lined up for a start against the White Sox in Miami on Friday. • Michael Busch hits two-run homer in win over MIL
Michael Busch hit a two-run homer to help the Cubs to a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Busch gave the Cubs a two-run lead in the first inning with a blast off Tobias Myers in the first inning. The 26-year-old has homered 10 times thus far in 2024, but only two of those roundtrippers have come in the month of June. Still, it’s been a quality first full year of MLB action for Busch thus far with an .809 OPS through 237 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 3:47 pm

  • Hector Neris works around jam to pick up save
Hector Neris allowed two baserunners, but was able to fire a scoreless inning while picking up a save against the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: The Hector Neris experience is often successful, but it’s always an experience. The right-hander allowed the winning run to reach the plate after giving up a hit and a walk, but he was able to strike out pinch-hitter Tyler Black and Brice Turang to keep the runners off the board and pick up his 11th save of 2024. • Tobias Myers gets quality start, no-decision
Tobias Myers went six innings while allowing three runs and not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Cubs.

Advice: Myers dealt with quite a bit of traffic Saturday, as he allowed seven hits and also issued a pair of walks. He was able to work around that traffic for the most part, thanks largely to six strikeouts and a couple of double plays. The 25-year-old gave up a two-run homer to Michael Busch in the first, but it was (mostly) smooth sailing from that point on. Myers does see his ERA jump up to 3.26, but that’s still a very solid number for the right-handed hurler. He faces Colorado next, and it’s worth pointing out that start will take place in Denver. • Paul Goldschmidt slugs solo homer in loss
Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Goldschmidt took Carson Spiers deep for a solo homer in the sixth inning for his only hit of the game as the Cardinals fell to the Reds. The 36-year-old slugger is up to 11 homers while slashing .228/.298/.367 with 39 runs scored, 33 RBI, and four steals across 344 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 2:26 pm

  • Heston Kjerstad not in Orioles lineup on Friday
Heston Kjerstad is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Rangers.

Advice: The 25-year-old slugger went 2-for-3 with a homer, walk, two runs scored and three RBI on Thursday night, so his reward appears to be a spot next to Orioles’ skipper Brandon Hyde on the bench on Friday night. Colton Cowser will start in his place in left field and bat fifth against Max Scherzer and the Rangers on Friday evening in Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:34 pm

  • Taking seat Friday
Kjerstad is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Kjerstad clubbed his first home run of the season in Thursday's win over the Rangers in what was his third straight start against a right-hander. However, he will begin this one on the bench versus Texas righty Max Scherzer. Colton Cowser will occupy left field for the Orioles. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm
