• Luis Castillo chased in 6th in loss to Rays
Luis Castillo allowed four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners ace struck out four and walked four on the day. He wasn’t sharp, with just a 44 percent zone rate on the day, but he had kept it together until the sixth inning. With the game tied at two, Castillo got one quick out but walked the next two hitters and was chased from the game. Michael Baumann then allowed a triple and a home run to bring in both inherited runners. Castillo had nine whiffs on 44 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW on the day. We can probably chalk this up to a poor start, but it’s his second straight one so we’d like to see him right the ship next time out. The only problem is that the start comes against the Orioles. • Jordan Westburg reaches five times in losing effort
Jordan Westburg went 4-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Westburg wound up reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances on Tuesday night in a high-scoring affair at Camden Yards. The 25-year-old infielder has vastly outperformed expectations in the first half, batting .283 (79-for-279) with 40 runs scored, 13 homers, 46 RBI and six stolen bases across 73 games. • Riley Greene leads Tigers to win over Phillies
Riley Greene hit an RBI triple on Tuesday, propelling the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Greene capped off Detroit’s four-run outburst in the fourth inning with a run-scoring triple to right field off Phillies starter Ranger Suárez. It wound up being his lone hit during a low-scoring affair at pitcher-friendly Comerica Park. The 23-year-old former top prospect has managed to stay healthy and finally make the leap to upper-echelon fantasy contributor status this season with an .850 OPS to go along with 50 runs scored, 15 homers, 41 RBI and four steals through 78 contests. • David Fry in Tuesday’s lineup at DH vs. Orioles
David Fry (elbow) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Fry is back in Cleveland’s lineup for the second straight contest after making an early exit from Sunday’s game agains the Blue Jays due to right elbow inflammation. It obviously doesn’t seem like a massive concern going forward. Rotoworld Today, 1:11 pm

  • Kyle Tucker (shin) ‘close’ to resuming running
Kyle Tucker (shin) progressed to taking swings on Sunday and could resume running within the next few days.

Advice: The revelation comes courtesy of a team statement. It’s a welcome relief for fantasy managers as we were honestly starting to wonder whether Tucker was dealing with something more serious than merely a shin contusion. He’ll need at least a couple minor league rehab contests to get back up to speed after he’s ready to get back into game action, but it doesn’t sound like he’s too far away from making it back to Houston. • Takes swings, could run soon
Tucker (shin) took swings off a tee Sunday and could be cleared to begin running soon, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tucker's recovery from a right shin contusion has dragged on longer than anticipated, but it looks like he's finally turned a corner as he resumes baseball activities. He's more than three weeks removed from suffering the injury and still has some hoops to jump through, so he could require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Astros' active roster. • Doubles twice, scores three runs
India batted leadoff and went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: India, who replaced the injured TJ Friedl (hamstring) atop Cincinnati's batting order, picked up a hit and scored a run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. It was his third straight multi-hit game, boosting his season OPS from .696 to .732 in the process. He's gone 11-for-23 (.478) with five extra-base hits over his last six games. India is now slashing .258/.363/.369 with 16 extra-base this and 33 runs scored through 71 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:45 pm

  • Fans seven in win
Bibee (6-2) picked up the win Monday against Baltimore, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings.

Advice: Bibee allowed an RBI single to Ryan O'Hearn in the opening frame, but he quickly found his groove and limited an explosive Orioles offense to just one earned run. The 25-year-old is one of the hottest pitchers in baseball right now, notching seven or more strikeouts for the fifth consecutive start. During that span, Bibee has pitched to a 2.51 ERA, a 0.92 WHIP and a sparkling 44:5 K:BB over 28.2 innings. He will look to keep his success going in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:10 pm
  • Tanner Bibee strikes out seven in win over O’s
Tanner Bibee struck out seven and was charged with two runs (one earned) over six innings on Monday in a win over the Orioles.

Advice: Bibee kept things rolling from a strikeout standpoint in this one, recording at least seven strikeouts for the sixth time in his last seven outings dating back to May 19. The 25-year-old righty generated 14 swinging strikes, with half of them coming on his four-seam fastball, and finished with a solid 27 percent CSW. He’s continued to lean a bit more on his curveball a bit more in recent outings, which coincides with the recent uptick in strikeouts, and he appears primed for a strong second half of the year. He’ll bring a solid 3.50 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 106/22 K/BB ratio across 87 1/3 innings (16 starts) into a road matchup on Saturday against the Royals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:26 pm
