• Getting breather against LHP
Gimenez isn't in the Guardians' lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Advice: After going 3-for-3 with an RBI during Friday's loss, Gimenez will step out of the lineup Saturday against left-handed starter Kyle Harrison. Angel Martinez will fill the opening at second base and bat second. Rotowire.com Today, 11:57 am

  • Three hits in loss
Gimenez went 3-for-3 with one RBI in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Gimenez's RBI came on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, which was the last run of the game. The second baseman has found some consistency at the plate, going 10-for-31 (.323) over his last eight games, but he has just two extra-base hits in that span. For the year, he's at a .252/.307/.344 slash line with five homers, 14 stolen bases, 41 RBI, 42 runs scored, 12 doubles and one triple over 80 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 10:26 am

  • Kyle Tucker (shin) resumes jogging on Friday
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters that Kyle Tucker (shin) resumed jogging on Friday.

Advice: Tucker, who has been out since early June due to a right shin bruise, was able to resume hitting a couple weeks ago, and has finally resumed running again. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar isn’t going to make it back until after the upcoming Midsummer Classic, but it sounds like he’s finally starting to make some actual progress in his recovery. We don’t want to speculate wildly, but it seems like Tucker was recovering from something more serious than a mere contusion, but there’s been nothing official from the club on that front. • Getting breather Saturday
Morel isn't in the Cubs' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Morel has put together a three-game hitting streak, though he has also struck out six times in 12 at-bats over that span. He'll take a day to rest Saturday while David Bote fills in at third base, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 8:54 am

  • Not starting Saturday
Wong isn't in Boston's lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: After putting together a 17-game hitting streak, Wong has gone 0-for-7 with three strikeouts over his last two games. He'll get a breather Saturday while Reese McGuire starts behind the dish, batting seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 am

  • Reaches four times, goes deep
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Greene has been hot lately, as he's riding a four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-16 with two home runs. He's up to 17 long balls this season, which is already a new career high. The 23-year-old Greene appears to be having his breakout, so fantasy managers should enjoy the ride as long as the young outfielder stays healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 am

  • Reaches three times in win
Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Friday's 5-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: A day after going 4-for-4 at the plate, Happ remained hot. The outfielder has eight RBI over the last two games, bringing his season total to 52. He had a career-high 84 RBI last year, and Happ could make a run at that total in 2024 if he maintains something close to his recent level of production. Rotowire.com Today, 6:19 am

  • Strong in seventh win
Castillo (7-9) allowed a run on two hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings to earn the win Friday over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Castillo earned his first quality start in four outings with this impressive performance. The only run on his line was a solo home run by Kevin Kiermaier in the sixth inning. Castillo is now at a 3.72 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 111:32 K:BB through 111.1 innings over 19 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Angels in a favorable matchup. • Castillo strikes out eight in victory over Jays
Luis Castillo allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts while holding the Blue Jays to one run in a victory Friday.

Advice: Castillo took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing a solo homer to Kevin Kiermaier to break up the no-no and the shutout. He allowed a single to Spencer Horwitz a batter later, but that was it in terms of hits. It was a sensational outing for Castillo which has been the usual for the right-hander at home; he has a 2.14 ERA over his last 12 dozen outings in Seattle. The road has been a tougher task for him, but for the most part, Castillo has been a strong option in 2024. This was an example of him at his best. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
