    • Carlos Correa (arm) exits game after hit by pitch
Carlos Correa left Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks after being hit by a pitch on the right forearm.

Advice: This one didn’t look good at all. Correa took a 94-mph fastball off his right forearm during the seventh inning of Thursday’s blowout in Arizona. He immediately left the contest shaking his head and holding that arm in a great deal of pain. The 29-year-old shortstop will head for additional evaluation and X-rays to determine the extent of the damage. Any sort of extended absence would likely result in top prospect Brooks Lee getting the call to the majors. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm

    • Guardians recall prospect José Tena on Thursday
Guardians recalled INF José Tena from Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: Tena got a quick 18-game cup of coffee last year in the majors, batting .226 (7-for-31) with three RBI across 34 plate appearances. The 23-year-old infielder gets another look in the big leagues after batting .293/.341/.480 with 14 homers and 10 steals over 326 plate appearances for Triple-A Columbus. It’s unclear how long he’s going to stick around as part of Cleveland’s overcrowded infield mix. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:45 pm
    • Not in Thursday's lineup
Rocchio is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Kansas City.

Advice: The Guardians are opting for Gabriel Arias at shortstop in their series opener against the Royals. Rocchio has been one of the lightest-hitting regulars in baseball this season, slashing an anemic .211/.312/.299. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:00 pm
    • Reds option Livan Soto back to Triple-A
Reds optioned INF Livan Soto to Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Soto heads back to the minors after a handful of contests with the Reds as a stopgap until top prospect Noelvi Marte was activated from the restricted list to make his season debut. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:50 pm

    • Up from Triple-A
The Guardians recalled Tena from Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Advice: Tena has spent all season in Triple-A, slashing .290/.337/.477 with 14 homers and 56 RBI across 326 plate appearances. He'll now come up from the minors to give Cleveland some additional infield depth, though he likely won't see many opportunities while in the big leagues. Will Brennan (oblique) was placed on the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:45 pm
    • Optioned to Louisville
The Reds optioned Soto to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: With Noelvi Marte making his return from an 80-game suspension, Soto will be pushed back into the minors. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout during his season debut Wednesday and owns a .767 OPS through 230 plate appearances in Triple-A. Should the Reds run into any more infield depth problems, there's a good chance Soto would be the one to get the call back Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:14 pm

    • Out again versus lefty
Stott is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Marlins.

Advice: He was out of the lineup Tuesday against a lefty and will also begin this one on the bench as the Marlins send southpaw Trevor Rogers to the hill. Stott did pinch hit in Tuesday's contest, so perhaps another mid-game appearance is possible. Whit Merrifield is handling second base for the Phillies on Thursday. • Bryson Stott gets a day off on Thursday
Bryson Stott is not in the Phillies’ starting lineup on Thursday.

Advice: Stott will get a routine day off on Thursday with left-handed Trevor Rogers on the mound. Edmundo Sosa will start at shortstop and bat sixth with Whit Merrifield starting at 2B. Trea Turner is also at DH with Kyle Schwarber moving to left field as David Dahl sits against a lefty. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:45 am

    • Jorge Mateo starts third straight game at 2B
Jorge Mateo is starting at second base and hitting ninth for the Orioles on Thursday against the Rangers.

Advice: Mateo has now started three straight games and four of the last five. However, he’s hitting just .240/.282/.453 with five home runs, 12 steals, and a 23 percent strikeout rate. However, he’s hitting just .225 in June and Coby Mayo is on fire in Triple-A, so Mateo might need to go on a hot streak to keep getting starting opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 am
