• Goes five innings in no-decision
Lodolo didn't factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After allowing just one run through his first two starts of the year, Lodolo struggled a bit Monday though he'd ultimately put together a respectable effort against a potent Philadelphia offense as the Reds rallied for a comeback win. Overall, the 26-year-old southpaw is 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB across 17 innings. Lodolo's currently slated to face the Padres on the road in his next outing. • Grabs fifth save
Diaz earned the save in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Phillies, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning.

Advice: After allowing three runs and blowing a save in his first outing this year, Diaz has converted his subsequent five save opportunities, allowing just one run while striking out 10 over his last nine appearances. His ERA is down to 3.48 with a 1.16 WHIP across 10.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

  • Strikes out eight Wednesday
Turnbull didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Cincinnati, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: It was another strong effort from Turnbull, who set a season-high with eight strikeouts while allowing just one run on a Will Benson solo homer in the third inning. Turnbull has been exceptional to start the year, going 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB through 27 innings. Still, with Taijuan Walker (shoulder) returning from the IL, Turnbull will head to the bullpen in an effort to manage his innings. The right-hander figures to be first in line should the Phillies need help in the rotation later this season. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
  • Ha-Seong Kim drives in two runs against Rockies
Ha-Seong Kim went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday in a 5-2 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Kim put the Padres on the board early with a two-run double in the first inning. He’d come around to score on a base hit as San Diego put four runs up in the opening frame. He added a base hit in the sixth for his second hit of the game. The 28-year-old infielder is slashing .240/.345/.417 with three homers, 16 runs scored, 15 RBI, and seven steals across 114 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 pm

  • Elias Díaz slugs solo homer in loss to Padres
Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Padres.

Advice: After knocking a base hit in the fourth inning, Díaz hit his second home run of the season with a solo shot in the eighth. He got some help on this one as his deep fly ball bounced off the glove of Jackson Merrill and over the outfield wall. It counts all the same. The 33-year-old backstop is hitting .312/.357/.429 with the two homers and 11 RBI across 84 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 8:11 pm

  • Robert Suarez locks down ninth save vs. Rockies
Robert Suarez struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to secure the save against the Rockies.

Advice: Suarez was given a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He worked quickly, striking out one batter and closing it out on seven pitches for his league-leading ninth save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander holds a 0.77 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 8:10 pm
  • Matt Waldron holds Rockies to one run in win
Matt Waldron tossed six innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts in a win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Waldron had an excellent outing against the Rockies in Colorado. He sat down the first ten batters he faced before loading the bases with two walks and a base hit. A pop out and ground out would get him out of the jam. Ryan McMahon finally put the Rockies on the board with a solo homer in the sixth. Waldron worked around three walks and four hits, inducing eight groundouts and striking out five. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.96 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 23/10 K/BB ratio across 25 innings into a start against the Reds in San Diego on Monday. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm

  • Ty Blach allows four runs in loss on Wednesday
Ty Blach allowed four runs over five innings in a loss to the Padres on Wednesday.

Advice: The Padres nearly batted around the order against Blach in the first inning, bringing four runs in to score on two walks and three hits. He settled in toss four more scoreless innings, giving the Rockies some length with five frames as he avoided a disaster. It was the first start of the season for the 33-year-old left-hander. He’s likely to return to work out of the bullpen. Rotoworld Today, 8:08 pm

  • Dansby Swanson hits first homer since April 8
Dansby Swanson slugged a three-run homer on Wednesday, propelling the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Astros.

Advice: Swanson connected for a tone-setting homer off Astros rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighett as part of Chicago’s four-run opening frame, which wound up being enough offensve for Jameson Taillon and a quartet of Cubs relievers. It was his third long ball of the season and first time he’s gone deep since April 8. Rotoworld Today, 7:52 pm
