    Advice: After allowing just one run through his first two starts of the year, Lodolo struggled a bit Monday though he'd ultimately put together a respectable effort against a potent Philadelphia offense as the Reds rallied for a comeback win. Still, with Taijuan Walker (shoulder) returning from the IL, Turnbull will head to the bullpen in an effort to manage his innings.     Advice: Kim put the Padres on the board early with a two-run double in the first inning. He’d come around to score on a base hit as San Diego put four runs up in the opening frame. He added a base hit in the sixth for his second hit of the game.   • Elias Díaz slugs solo homer in loss to Padres
    Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Padres.

    Advice: After knocking a base hit in the fourth inning, Díaz hit his second home run of the season with a solo shot in the eighth. He got some help on this one as his deep fly ball bounced off the glove of Jackson Merrill and over the outfield wall. It counts all the same.     Advice: Waldron had an excellent outing against the Rockies in Colorado. He sat down the first ten batters he faced before loading the bases with two walks and a base hit. A pop out and ground out would get him out of the jam. Ryan McMahon finally put the Rockies on the board with a solo homer in the sixth. Waldron worked around three walks and four hits, inducing eight groundouts and striking out five.     Dansby Swanson slugged a three-run homer on Wednesday, propelling the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Astros.

    Advice: Swanson connected for a tone-setting homer off Astros rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighett as part of Chicago’s four-run opening frame, which wound up being enough offensve for Jameson Taillon and a quartet of Cubs relievers.
