    • Traded to Milwaukee
The Rays agreed to trade Civale to the Brewers on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Advice: The return for Tampa Bay was not immediately disclosed, but regardless it sounds like the first-place Brewers have found an arm to help stabilize the rotation. Civale has an ERA north of 5.00 through 17 starts this season, but his xFIP is almost a full run lower at 4.09. Shane Baz was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday and appears a likely candidate to replace Civale in the Rays' rotation. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago
    • Blanks Friars for fifth win
Eovaldi (5-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-0 victory over the Padres, allowing just one hit over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: Bryce Johnson's third-inning single spoiled any shot Eovaldi might have had at making history, but the right-hander still put together a dominant performance before leaving the mound after 92 pitches (61 strikes). The quality start was his sixth of the year, and Eovaldi will take a 3.15 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 80:26 K:BB through 80 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Rays. • Hit hard in Tuesday's loss
Cease (7-7) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up six runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings as the Padres fell 7-0 to the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander got no help from his offense, but Cease created his own problems by serving up six extra-base hits, including a pair of homers by Nathaniel Lowe. Cease has been tagged for four runs or more in three of his last four starts, walking multiple batters each time. He'll take a 4.24 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 130:32 K:BB through 102 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Belts homer No. 10
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: His eighth-inning blast deep to left-center field off Beau Brieske capped the scoring on the night. Correa has hit safely in five straight games, and since June 6 the veteran shortstop has a blistering .418/.476/.659 slash line over 103 plate appearances with six of his 10 homers on the year and 19 of his 41 RBI. • Secures 13th save
Duran struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: After missing the first month of the season with an oblique strain, Duran has had a little trouble finding his usual form, but he may be coming around. The right-hander has been scored upon only once in his last 11 appearances, posting a 1.64 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB through 11 innings over that stretch while collecting three wins, three saves and a hold. • Likely starter for Wednesday
Mena has joined the Diamondbacks' taxi squad and appears in line to make his major-league debut Wednesday against the Dodgers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Advice: Manager Torey Lovullo acknowledged Mena's presence in the clubhouse Tuesday and said that "if that does come up [Wednesday], [Mena] deserves the opportunity," per PHNX Diamondbacks. Mena is a 21-year-old right-hander who was traded to Arizona over the winter. He has spent the entire 2024 season to date with Triple-A Reno, posting a 4.90 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 89:38 K:BB over 82.2 innings spanning 16 starts. A road matchup against the Dodgers represents a tough landing spot, and most will want to wait and see how the youngster fares before considering him for a fantasy roster. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago
    • Fades in no-decision
Woods Richardson came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Tigers, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After cruising through four scoreless innings, the right-hander began to run out of gas in the fifth, serving up a solo shot to Justyn-Henry Malloy and a two-run blast to Ryan Kreidler that briefly gave Detroit a 3-2 lead. Woods Richardson was eventually lifted after 94 pitches (61 strikes), falling just short of his fifth quality start of the season. He'll carry a 3.52 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60:21 K:BB through 71.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Astros. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago
    • Bickford clears waivers, assigned to Triple-A
Yankees assigned RHP Phil Bickford to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes/Barre.

Advice: Bickford cleared waivers and elected to report to Triple-A rather than hit free agency. He allowed nine runs (eight earned) in five innings with the Yankees (14.40 ERA). Bickford has a 2.93 ERA in 22 Triple-A appearances this year. He would need to be added back to the 40-man roster before the Yankees could call on him again as bullpen depth. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago
    • Fans seven in quality start
Skubal came away with a no-decision Tuesday, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over six inning as the Tigers fell 5-3 to the Twins. He struck out seven.

Advice: While he mostly kept traffic off the bases, a two-run double by Royce Lewis (groin) in the third inning and a solo shot by Manuel Margot in the fifth helped deny Skubal his 10th win of the year. The southpaw did collect his 12th quality start of the season, and he'll take a 2.45 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 119:20 K:BB through 103 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Cincinnati.
