    • Stumbles vs. Oakland
Sale allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk over four innings against the A's on Saturday. He struck out four.

Advice: It was a rough day for Sale, who allowed six runs in his first two innings before Brent Rooker added two more with a home run in the fourth. Sale hadn't allowed more than one run in six straight starts prior to Saturday while recording eight or more strikeouts in each of his last five outings. Overall, the veteran left-hander is 8-1 on the season with a 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 82:10 K:BB across 67.2 innings. Sale will look to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Washington. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Allows three runs vs. White Sox
Gasser didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out three in five innings.

Advice: All three of the runs against Gasser came via the home-run ball Saturday -- an Andrew Benintendi solo shot in the third inning followed by a two-run blast off the bat of Gavin Sheets in the fourth. It's just the second time in five starts that Gasser's allowed more than one run. Overall, the left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while issuing just one walk through his first 28 innings. Gasser's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
    • Michael Lorenzen blanks Marlins over 6 1/3 in win
Michael Lorenzen didn’t give up a run while firing 6 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts to help the Rangers to a 7-0 rout of the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lorenzen exited his last start with a trainer, but the injury didn’t appear to effect him whatsoever. The right-hander scattered five hits and issued just two walks in an impressive outing even when considering the lackluster opponent. Lorenzen has been able to work at least six innings in seven of his eight starts, and he’s posted a very strong 2.96 ERA in the process. That’ll play. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

Kyle Tucker homered and walked in a victory for the Astros over the Twins on Saturday.

    • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Twins top Astros
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-3 with two homers and three RBI in a 5-2 win Saturday over the Twins for the Astros.

    • Framber Valdez spins seven strong in win over MIN
Framber Valdez gave up just one hit on two runs while working seven innings to get a win Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Valdez did issue two walks, but he was able to keep the self-inflicted damage to a low roar while striking out four. The southpaw ha gone seven innings in three of his last five starts, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those outings. There have been some clunkers for Valdez in 2024, but the good has mostly outweighed the poor. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
    • Joe Ryan gives up four homers in loss to Astros
Joe Ryan gave up five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Ryan gave up eight hits, which is not great, and five of those hits left the park, which is worse. The 27-year-old was coming off an outstanding start against the Royals on Monday. This was anything but. He also walked two and struck out four in one of the worst outings of the season for Ryan. Expect better things for the right-hander against Pittsburgh next week.
