    • Chris Davis crushed his 25th and 26th home runs Wednesday as the Orioles pounded the Tigers 13-3.
Advice: Both were two-run shots; he had one off Rick Porcello in the fourth and another off Jose Valverde in the ninth. He also mixed in a ground-rule double, giving him five RBI on the day. After going eight games without an RBI earlier this month, Davis has come back with six homers and 14 RBI in his last eight games. He's also overtaken Miguel Cabrera for the AL lead in OPS.

Advice: The untradeable Mike Dunn, that is. Ross has been flat-out horrible against right-handers this year, which is part of the reason he was out of the starting lineup today, but he's still killing lefties to the turn of a .387 average in 62 at-bats. • Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that people who have spoken with MLB investigators feel it's likely that "at least some" suspensions will be issued in the Biogenesis case.
Advice: MLB has begun interviewing players associated with the case, though they have yet to talk to Ryan Braun or Alex Rodriguez, seemingly because they want to gather enough evidence before confronting them. Interestingly, Heyman notes that MLB officials believe the league's Joint Drug Agreement may allow it to announce suspensions before any appeal process because the names involved have already been leaked. The MLBPA obviously wouldn't be happy with that. While Braun and Rodriguez have garnered most of the attention in the case, Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Jhonny Peralta, Everth Cabrera, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero are among the other players who have been connected to the now-shuttered clinic.

    • Ryan Braun (thumb) will be shut down from baseball activities for at least the next week.
Advice: Braun is dealing with a nerve issue in his right hand, and the Brewers are hopeful that the symptoms will subside with some extra rest. If they don't, he'll just have to play through the ailment. "If it gets better, he'll start swinging again and then take BP," manager Ron Roenicke said. "Maybe when he comes off, it will go away. If not, he'll have to play and fight through it." Logan Schafer will see the bulk of the time in left field while Braun is out.

    • Brewers placed OF Ryan Braun on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 9, with a right thumb contusion.
Advice: Braun has been dealing with the injury for quite some time now, and the team feels it's in his best interest to shut him down completely and let it heal. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, Braun should still be expected to return before the end of June. Logan Schafer has been filling in while Braun was sidelined, and sees a substantial boost to his fantasy value while receiving everyday at-bats.

Advice: Moss has homers in two of his last three games and 13 on the year. The first baseman also tripled in the game, his third already this season. Moss likely won't replicate the .291 batting average he finished with in 2012, but he is well on his way to another 20-homer season.

    • Justin Ruggiano went 2-for-4 and homered for the Marlins' only run Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
Advice: The homer came off former teammate Heath Bell in the ninth. It's the third straight start in which Ruggiano has collected two hits. The 20-year-old will now progress from walking and jogging to running and other baseball activities. It's not clear how long the process will take, but if he keeps improving, it could happen quickly.
