• Justin Turner totals two hits in loss to Royals
Justin Turner went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Royals.

Advice: Turner singled in the third inning to drive in George Springer, upping his RBI total on the season to 12. His single ended an 0-for-10 streak and lifted his average to .310 on the season. The veteran infielder continues to serve primarily as the Blue Jays designated hitter while hitting near the middle of a potent lineup. As long as he stays hot, Turner can be counted on to produce in multiple categories for fantasy managers.

  • Paredes homers in loss to Tigers
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: In a rare occurence, Paredes homered to left-center field instead of down the line in left field. The ball left the bat at 100.8 mph and traveled 384 feet. It was the 25-year-old’s sixth home run on the season to go along with 16 RBI. He’s been strong again to start the season, which he’ll need to continue to be since one of the best prospects in baseball, Junior Caminero, plays his position and is just one level away. Still, Paredes will continue to play if he keeps hitting, and there are no indications that last year’s breakout was a fluke. Rotoworld Today, 7:01 pm

  • Elly has HR and SB in win over Phillies
Elly De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base in an 8-1 win over the Phillies.

Advice: It’s been quite the beginning of the season for Elly, who is now slashing .295/.402/.641 with seven home runs and 12 steals. Honestly, the on-base percentage may be the most impressive number. After struggling with his plate discipline last year, the 22-year-old has made incredible strides in 2024 with 13 walks in 23 games. He will likely always run some high strikeout rates, but he is consistently putting himself in a position to do damage with better swing decisions and fantasy managers are reaping the benefits. If the plate discipline remains, there is no reason to think he’s not a first-round fantasy pick. Rotoworld Today, 6:41 pm

  • Rafael Devers (knee) set to return on Wednesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters Rafael Devers (knee) will return for Wednesday’s contest against the Guardians.

Advice: Devers has been limited to just 12 plate appearances since April 11 due to separate knee and shoulder injuries. All indications are that the 27-year-old franchise cornerstone won’t wind up requiring a trip to the injured list and should return to Boston’s lineup on Wednesday night following a five-game absence due to a bone bruise in his left knee. • José Ramírez homers, Guardians roll past Red Sox
José Ramírez walloped a solo homer on Tuesday, powering the Guardians to a 4-1 victory over the Red Sox.

Advice: Ramírez doubled Cleveland’s lead with an eighth-inning solo shot off Red Sox reliever Cam Booser. It was his fourth round-tripper of the season. He’s started to heat up over the last few contests, recording at least one hit in seven of his last eight games since April 14, and also has a pair of big flies during that span. • Exits rehab game early
LeMahieu (foot) was forced to exit his rehab start with Double-A Somerset in the second inning, Randy Miller of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Advice: LeMahieu left the contest after striking out in the top of first frame and playing third base in the bottom of the inning. He was making his first start with Somerset and was expected to appear in three more contests before returning to the major-league roster. The 35-year-old is now set to undergo examinations on his foot in New York on Wednesday according to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. More information on his status will be provided following the testing, but it certainly appears as if LeMahieu suffered a setback in his recovery of a bone bruise and fracture in his right foot. • DJ LeMahieu exits rehab debut with foot soreness
DJ LeMahieu was removed from Tuesday’s minor league rehab game for Double-A Somerset due to right foot soreness.

Advice: It’s not what you want to see. LeMahieu struck out in his lone plate appearances and lasted just one inning at third base in his rehab assignment debut before leaving the contest. It’s a notable development since he was expected to play at least a couple innings in this one. The 35-year-old veteran, who has been out since spring training due to a non-displaced fracture in his right foot, is heading back to New York to be re-evaluated. Not good. Rotoworld Today, 4:23 pm

  • Royce Lewis (quad) to be re-evaluated this week
Twins general manager Derek Faley told reporters Royce Lewis (quad) will be re-evaluated later this week.

Advice: Lewis resumed baseball activities last week as he continues his recovery from a severe right quad strain that he suffered back on Opening Day. There should be a clearer timetable for his return following his latest evaluation. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

  • Moving closer to return
Stefanic (quadriceps) has been taking ground balls and batting practice, and he is scheduled to resume running progression Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Stefanic landed on the injured list March 28 after straining his left quad in his first Cactus League contest in late February. The 28-year-old's progress toward a return was slowed by a setback mid-March, but he appears to be back on the road to recovery. Stefanic could feasibly be ready to resume game action by the end of April, though he will likely need a minor-league rehab assignment given that he logged only one plate appearance in spring training.
