• Belts third homer
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and scored twice during a 10-2 victory over Oakland on Friday.

Advice: Freeman's home run wasn't exactly a towering blast, as it only traveled a projected 331 feet, but it was enough to give Cleveland the lead in the second inning. The 24-year-old infielder has been struggling at the plate to begin the season; however, he is now 5-for-12 with two homers, three RBI and five runs scored across his last three games. • Orelvis Martinez crushes two homers Friday at AAA
Blue Jays INF prospect Orelvis Martinez launched two homers on Friday for Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: Martinez has been on a heater over the last few days, going deep in three consecutive contests, and is up to five round-trippers in his last five games since April 14. The former top prospect’s star has faded in recent years, but he’s still just 22 years old, and appears to be on the precipice of arriving in the majors, especially if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball. • Vaughn Grissom hitting .154 on rehab assignment
Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) doubled Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Grissom has gotten off to a slow start on his rehab assignment, batting .154 (2-for-13) with one extra-base hit and four strikeouts through four contests at the Triple-A level. The 23-year-old appears primed to take over as Boston’s starting second baseman, with the occasional cameo at shortstop, once he’s ready to return after opening the season on the injured list with a left hamstring strain. • Another multi-hit effort
Pena went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: Pena delivered an RBI double in the second inning and scored in the same frame. He also chipped in his third stolen base of the season after singling in the fifth frame. Pena has at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, and he's gone 18-for-51 with three RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:43 pm
  • Remains productive
Dubon went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: Dubon started in center field and hit ninth, which marked his ninth start in the last 11 games. In that span, he's gone 13-for-36 with a home run, nine RBI and a stolen base. Dubon has primarily cut into Jake Meyers' playing time, and that could continue so long as he remains hot at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:36 pm

  • Tallies second homer
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Lindor cracked a 390-foot two-run homer off Daniel Hudson in the seventh inning to put the Mets ahead for good. After opening the season with a dreadful 1-for-31 stretch, the Mets shortstop has started to look better at the plate lately. Lindor is batting .255 (12-for-47) with two homers, 10 runs scored and three RBI over his last 11 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:25 pm
  • Smacks first grand slam
Alexander went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Alexander enjoyed the best game of his young career Friday night, driving in five RBI and hitting his first grand slam in the eighth inning. The 24-year-old rookie has filled in admirably since Geraldo Perdomo (knee) was placed on the injured list April 4. Alexander is slashing .340/.404/.596 with three home runs and 12 RBI over his first 52 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Blaze Alexander hits slam as D-Backs score 17
Blaze Alexander went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI in a 17-1 shellacking of the Giants on Friday.

Advice: In a game where the Diamondbacks scored two touchdowns and added a late field goal, Alexander’s slam was surprisingly the only of the game. The shortstop also doubled twice, and it’s his first three-hit effort of the year. He has picked up multiple hits in three-of-six contests, however, and he’s slashing .340/.404/.596 over 47 at-bats. Pretty impressive. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:25 pm
  • Francisco Lindor swats go-ahead homer vs. Dodgers
Francisco Lindor went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and a stolen base to help the Mets to a 9-4 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: With the score tied at 4-4, Lindor blasted a two-run shot off Daniel Hudson in the seventh inning to give the Mets a 6-4 lead and ultimately the win. Lindor has gone deep twice in 2024, and the stolen base gives the 30-year-old his first swipe of the campaign. It’s been a rough start to the year for Lindor, but there’s plenty of reason to think he’ll bounce back quite nicely over the long season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
