    • Launches sixth homer
Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: The 25-year-old crushed a Grayson Rodriguez slider in the fourth inning, sending it over the fence in straightaway center field with an exit velocity of 109.2 mph. Guerrero is beginning to flash a little more power -- over his last 11 games, he has three doubles and two of his six homers on the year -- but he's been making plenty of hard contact, slashing .367/.452/.495 since the beginning of May with 16 RBI and 16 runs in 28 contests. • Bregman blasts ninth home run in win Monday
Alex Bergman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Bregman’s ninth of the season. With the Astros trailing by one in the eighth inning, he homered off JoJo Romero to tie the game. Bregman is still hitting just .229 on the season, but his .234 BABIP is significantly lower than his career .280 BABIP. He hit .262 with a .270 BABIP last year so his average should pick up and his .176 ISO is right in line with his .178 ISO last year when he hit 25 home runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:29 pm

    • Vlad Jr. hits sixth home run Monday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Guerrero Jr.'s sixth of the season. He was back at first base after playing third base on Sunday. It would boost his fantasy value to add third base eligibility, but he’ll need a few more appearances at the hot corner for that. Guerrero Jr.'s average is up to .295 with an .808 OPS on the season. • Serviceable in relief
Wilson (3-2) took the loss Monday against Philadelphia, allowing three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one in 5.2 innings of work out of the bullpen.

Advice: Jared Koenig opened the game for Milwaukee, pitching one scoreless inning before giving way to Wilson in the second. Wilson surrendered a solo home run to David Dahl in the fourth inning, marking the fifth consecutive game in which the right-hander has allowed a home run. The 26-year-old has been consistent in minimizing the damage, however, allowing three earned runs or fewer in all of those starts. Wilson has worked behind Jared Koenig in two of his last three appearances, and it remains to be seen if he will start his next time out, tentatively scheduled for this weekend in Detroit. • Bryse Wilson gobbles up 5 2/3 frames in bulk outing
Bryse Wilson allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings on Monday in a bulk relief appearance against the Phillies.

Advice: Wilson took over for a bulk relief appearance after opener Jared Koenig spun a flawless first inning. He gave up five hits, including a solo homer to David Dahl, which was enough to saddle him with a loss as he went head-to-head with Phillies ace Zack Wheeler into the late innings of this one. He’ll continue operating in a multi-inning relief role and figures to take the ball on Sunday afternoon against the Tigers at Comerica Park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm

    • Second career Tommy John surgery
Means underwent successful Tommy John surgery Monday in Texas to repair a torn UCL in his left elbow, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Means will need 12-to-18 months to recover from the procedure, and given that he previously had the procedure in April 2022, it's reasonable to expect him to trend toward the longer end of that timetable. The veteran southpaw has now seen three straight seasons come to an early end, as he was previously held out during the Orioles' playoff run last fall when he experienced renewed soreness in the surgically repaired elbow. Even though his elbow checked out fine over the offseason, the Orioles chose to slow play Means to begin the 2024 campaign, but it wasn't long before he experienced another flareup. Means made just four starts for the Orioles prior to landing on the 15-day injured list last Thursday with a forearm strain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:27 pm

    • John Means undergoes second Tommy John surgery
John Means underwent his second Tommy John surgery on Monday.

Advice: This wasn’t the internal brace procedure, so if Means, who will be a free agent this winter, does return next year, it won’t be until the end of the season. Means totaled just 40 1/3 innings rehabbing in the minors and 44 1/3 major league innings in between his surgeries. He had a 2.64 ERA in his eight starts for the Orioles between this year and last. • Justin Turner rides the pine once again Monday
Justin Turner is once again riding the pine for Monday’s series opener against the Orioles.

Advice: It appears as though Father Time may have caught up to the 39-year-old slugger, as Turner is slashing a miserable .212/.299/.341 on the season with just four homers and 20 RBI. He was even worse in the month of May — hitting a cringe-inducing .111/.210/.139 with zero homers and five RBI. Daniel Vogelbach will function as the Jays’ designated hitter on Monday and will bat cleanup against Grayson Rodriguez and the O’s. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:15 pm

    • Working behind opener Monday
Wilson is expected to be deployed as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Jared Koenig in Monday's game in Philadelphia, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wilson started in his last turn through the rotation Wednesday against the Cubs, but he'll work behind Koenig for the second time in three outings after he previously followed the left-hander May 24 in Boston. In that game, Wilson struck out seven while giving up two runs across 5.1 innings en route to picking up the win, so he could still offer some value to fantasy managers Monday despite not operating as a traditional starter. Wilson tentatively lines up for two outings this week, with his second turn through the rotation set to come Sunday in Detroit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:14 pm
