    • Tyler O’Neill (concussion) may not return Thursday
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora noted Wednesday that Tyler O’Neill (concussion) may not return to the lineup on Thursday.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder is doing okay according to Cora, and while he has passed all of his concussion tests, he has yet to do any baseball activities. It’s possible that he could wake up on Thursday feeling great, have a good workout and talk his way into the lineup, but it sounds like he may wind up missing another couple of games. It’s a situation that fantasy managers should continue to monitor. Rotoworld Today, 5:03 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill remains out of Red Sox’ lineup
As expected, Tyler O’Neill (concussion) remains out of the Red Sox’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the Guardians.

Advice: Red Sox’ skipper Alex Cora told reporters on Tuesday that O’Neill would miss a couple of games, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. He did clear the concussion protocol on Tuesday though after a scary collision with teammate Rafael Devers on Monday and could even return to the lineup for Thursday’s series finale. Wilyer Abreu will start in his place in right field and bat cleanup against Ben Lively and the Guardians on Wednesday evening. Rotoworld Today, 3:41 pm

    • Juan Soto posts three hits, homers in comeback win
Juan Soto went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and two RBI on Wednesday in the Yankees’ comeback win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Soto also drew a pair of walks, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances in this one. The 25-year-old fantasy superstar put the Yankees on the scoreboard in the fifth inning with a run-scoring double off Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman before taking lefty reliever Génesis Cabrera deep for a solo shot -- his fourth big fly of the season -- in the eighth inning. He also drew a pivotal two-out walk in the ninth inning against lefty Tim Mayza to set up ensuing batter Aaron Judge’s go-ahead two-run single. Rotoworld Today, 3:32 pm

    • Not expected back Thursday
O'Neill (forehead) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians and is considered unlikely to be available for Thursday's series finale, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: O'Neill was removed from Monday's 6-0 loss to Cleveland after a collision in the outfield with teammate Rafael Devers and was fortunate to avoid a concussion, but he suffered a cut on his forehead and needed eight stitches to seal his wound. Though manager Alex Cora expressed confidence Tuesday that O'Neill would be ready to play by Thursday, the outfielder isn't yet taking part in baseball activities on the field, so the Red Sox are expected to play it safe with him for another day. On a positive note, O'Neill hasn't been shut down from physical activity entirely, as he's been able to work out on his own. Rotowire.com Today, 3:16 pm

    • Tarik Skubal pitches into seventh in no-decision
Tarik Skubal was uninvolved in the decision after allowing four runs — two earned — in 6 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Rangers.

Advice: He struck out six and walked one. Skubal was fortunate that a pair of flyballs that would have been homers in the majority of ballparks turned into a double and an out in Comerica. He has a 2.28 ERA and a 26/5 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings in his four starts. Rotoworld Today, 2:23 pm

    • Allows one run in no-decision
Lopez didn't factor in the decision Wednesday against the Orioles after he gave up one run on two hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The right-hander allowed nine runs (eight earned) while losing his past two outings but rebounded with a quality start Wednesday, with the only blemish against him being a solo homer by Gunnar Henderson. Lopez now has a 3.97 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB over 22.2 innings through four starts this season. He lines up for a favorable home matchup against the White Sox next week. • Pablo López sharp in no-decision versus Orioles
Pablo López limited the Orioles to one run and two hits in six innings in a no-decision Wednesday.

Advice: Gunnar Henderson homered to open the bottom of the first. López was nearly perfect after that, and he was put in line for the win when the Twins scored twice in the top of the seventh. However, that lead was immediately coughed up in the bottom of the inning. López will face the White Sox next. Rotoworld Today, 1:20 pm

    • Nabs majors' first five-hit game
Betts went 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs Tuesday in the Dodgers' 6-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Betts produced the majors' first five-hit game of the season Tuesday and matched his previous career high for hits in a game, raising his batting average to an MLB-best .388 in the process. Though the Dodgers' 12-8 start to the season is somewhat disappointing given the immense talent on the roster, Betts and Shohei Ohtani (1.019 OPS) are doing their part in the top two spots in the lineup. Betts has still been able to rack up 22 runs and 18 RBI through 20 games, even while No. 3 hitter Freddie Freeman (.788 OPS) has yet to really get going at the plate. Rotowire.com Today, 6:16 am

    • Gets win after blown save
Clase (1-0) was charged with his second blown save of the season Tuesday, but he picked up the win in a 10-7 extra-innings victory over the Red Sox after giving up an unearned run on one hit in the 10th inning.

Advice: The right-hander couldn't stop the phantom runner from scoring after the Guardians had taken a 7-6 lead in the top of the 10th, but Cleveland tacked on three more runs in the 11th to put the game away. Clase is 4-for-6 in converting save chances to begin the season, but that's been due more to bad luck more than bad pitching -- he sports a 1.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 6:0 K:BB through eight innings, and his spot as Cleveland's closer is in no jeopardy.
