    • Activated ahead of start
The Rays activated Pepiot (lower leg) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Pepiot will rejoin the Rays' rotation Wednesday against the Red Sox after missing the previous two weeks with a left lower-leg contusion. The right-hander did not make a rehab start, so it's possible he will be relatively limited from a pitch-count perspective versus Boston. Pepiot will bring a 3.68 ERA and nifty 41:11 K:BB over 36.2 innings into Wednesday's proceedings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:52 am

    • Hoping to take BP soon
The Mets are aiming for Alvarez (thumb) to begin taking batting practice during their May 24-to-June 2 homestand, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: It's been a month since Alvarez had surgery to address a torn UCL in his left thumb and he's almost ready to pick up a bat as he advances his rehab. The catcher remains on track to return to the Mets' active roster in mid-to-late June. Rotowire.com Today, 8:32 am
    • Francisco Alvarez (thumb) could hit next week
Francisco Alvarez could begin taking batting practice next week as he continues his recovery from a torn UCL in his left thumb.

Advice: Alvarez is about a month away from returning, assuming that everything goes as hoped. He had surgery on the thumb on April 23. Rotoworld Today, 8:30 am
    • Allows four runs in loss
Stone (4-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.

Advice: Stone reached at least six innings for a fifth consecutive outing but just missed out on a quality start this time around. The Diamondbacks scratched out a pair of runs on him in the second and another in the fifth before Christian Walker crushed a solo home run in the sixth to make it a 4-1 ballgame. Tuesday was Stone's first time giving up more than a run since April 20 and his first loss since April 7. He now owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB in 50 innings and lines up for a road start against the Mets next week. Rotowire.com Today, 6:07 am

    • Homers twice Tuesday
Tucker went 2-for-4 with two homers, a walk and three runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Angels.

Advice: Tucker homered in his first at-bat that went 340 feet and would've only been a home run in Houston. He later provided a no-doubter in the seventh to knot things up at 5-5 that would wind up sending the game to extra innings. Tuesday was his fourth multi-homer game of the season and he's now back to leading the league with 17 while his 1.074 OPS only trails Shohei Ohtani. For the year, Tucker is now slashing .293/.425/.649 with 36 RBI, 36 runs and a 40:36 BB:K in 214 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:25 am

    • Gavin Stone charged with four runs in loss
Gavin Stone lost to the Diamondbacks after allowing four runs in six innings on Tuesday.

Advice: Stone came up a little short of delivering a fifth straight quality start and took his first loss since April 7. He gave up eight hits, walked one and struck out five in falling to 4-2 with a 3.60 ERA. Stone might get a two-start week against the Mets and Rockies next week, which would make him a great play in shallow leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:43 pm

    • Collects three hits
Paredes went 3-for-5 with a two-RBI double during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Paredes plated Josh Lowe and Randy Arozarena on a first-inning double to give the Rays an early lead. However, Tampa Bay wouldn't score again in the game, going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position outside of Paredes' double. The third baseman has generated multiple hits in five of his last 10 games and leads the Rays in home runs and RBI on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:48 pm

    • Kyle Tucker homers twice to lead Astros
Kyle Tucker hit his 16th and 17th homers before scoring the winning run in the 10th as the Astros bested the Angels 6-5 on Tuesday.

Advice: Tucker’s homers couldn’t have been much different. The first was a 340-foot shot to the opposite field that would have a homer in Houston and nowhere else, according to Statcast. The second was a no-doubter that was pulled 407 feet to right. Tucker now leads the majors in homers by one over Gunnar Henderson. His 1.074 OPS puts him behind only Shohei Ohtani.
