    • Slugs homer in rout
Cowser went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in Thursday's 11-2 victory against Texas.

Advice: Cowser contributed to the convincing win with a solo shot in the eighth inning. It was the outfielder's second long ball over his past three games and his fourth across his past 14 contests. He's up to 11 homers on the campaign after failing to go deep across 77 plate appearances in his first taste of the majors last season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm

    • Springer hits two home runs, drives in six in win
George Springer went 3-for-6 with a double, two home runs and six RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Springer took Carlos Rodon deep in each of the first two innings. He now has eight home runs on the season. Springer has certainly struggled this year with a .205 average and .618 OPS with 23 RBI on the year.

    • Out of Philadelphia lineup
Marsh is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: It's southpaw Trevor Rogers toeing the rubber for Miami, so the left-handed hitting Marsh will take a seat. Cristian Pache will be in center field and Kyle Schwarber will cover left. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:50 am

    • Lamonte Wade Jr. coming off IL on Thursday
According to MLB.com’s Maria I. Guardado, the Giants will activate 1B/OF Lamonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) from the 10-day IL on Friday.

Advice: The veteran was placed on the IL at the end of May and will have missed about four weeks. Wade has a tremendous on-base percentage and will return to an everyday role against right-handed pitching. That will send David Villar back to the bench. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:27 am

    • Poised to come off IL Friday
Wade (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wade has been sidelined for the past month with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain but has been cleared to return after playing three rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento, going 1-for-7 with a 2:4 K:BB. The 30-year-old has slashed a robust .333/.470/.426 for the Giants this season and will go back to receiving regular starts at first base against right-handed pitching. • Hits inside-the-park homer
Chourio went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Rangers.

Advice: Chourio showcased his blazing speed Wednesday, notching his second inside-the-parker of 2024 in the fourth inning after Derek Hill misplayed Chourio's line drive to center field. After a slow start to his rookie campaign, Chourio has been excellent in June, going 19-for-63 (.302) with three homers, 13 RBI and 11 runs over 21 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:08 pm

    • Homers, drives in four
Marsh went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Marsh snapped a career-long home run drought in a big way on Wednesday. It was his first home run since April 26, snapping a streak of 36 games without a blast. Marsh became the first Phillies player to go 4-for-4 or better with four RBI since Maikel Franco in 2016. The 26-year-old is hitting .269/.345/.425 with seven home runs and 31 RBI. • Brandon Marsh homers, plates four to lead Phillies
Brandon Marsh went 4-for-4 with a homer and four RBI on Wednesday afternoon, leading the Phillies to a 6-2 victory over the Tigers in Detroit.

Advice: Marsh tagged Tigers’ rookie right-hander Keider Montero for a 359-foot (100.6 mph EV) two-run shot in the fourth inning that gave the Phillies a 3-1 lead they would never relinquish. He added on a two-run single in the fifth inning that made it 5-1 as well but was then gunned down attempting to steal second base. With his four-hit attack, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .269/.345/.425 with seven homers, 31 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:42 pm

    • Held out against righty again
Cowser is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Cowser belted his 10th home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Guardians, but he nonetheless finds himself on the bench for the second time during the three-game series. Both of those absences came against right-handed pitchers, so the lefty-hitting Cowser could be in danger of losing out on a regular spot in the outfield to fellow lefty hitter Heston Kjerstad, who will make his second start of the series following his call-up from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.
