    • Breaks slump Friday
Kim went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, one walk and three total runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim went 0-for-10 with two walks over the previous three games before breaking out of the slump Friday. The homer was his eighth of the year but just his second over the last 18 contests. The shortstop has added a .223/.332/.393 slash line with 29 RBI, 34 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 66 games. While his ratios are a bit adrift of his last two seasons, Kim continues to hold down a starting role with solid production in the counting stats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:25 pm

    • Keeps slugging Friday
Diaz went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the seventh. He's gone yard in four straight contests, an impressive run of power after he went 39 games without a homer prior to this surge. The catcher is at a .258/.285/.416 slash line, seven long balls, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests. With Kyle Tucker (lower leg) going on the injured list Friday, Yordan Alvarez has seen more time in the field, giving the Astros the option of moving Diaz to designated hitter rather than having him at catcher full-time in the short term. • Teoscar Hernández delivers in 11th in Dodgers’ win
Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-4 and doubled in two runs in the 11th to propel the Dodgers past the Yankees 2-1 on Friday.

Advice: It was a scoreless game until Hernández delivered the contest’s first big hit off Ian Hamilton in the 11th. It actually gave him his first multi-RBI game since May 14. He was often leading the league in RBI for the first month and a half, but he came into this one having driven in a total of three runs in last 20 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:55 pm

    • Kimbrel picks up 14th save Friday
Craig Kimbrel tossed a clean ninth inning and picked up the save against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: The save was Kimbrel’s 14th of the season and came on the heels of him taking the loss in his last appearance against the Blue Jays on Wednesday. That wasn’t a save opportunity, though. The 36-year-old right-handed is now 7-for-7 in save opportunities since the end of April. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm

    • Cruz blasts ninth home run on Friday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Cruz’ ninth of the season and second in as many days. Prior to Thursday, he had gone 15 games without a home run and was hitting .180 in that stretch. He’s hitting .247 with a .744 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:15 pm

    • Another rehab start coming
Cole (elbow) will make a rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Cole made his first rehab appearance Tuesday with Somerset, firing 3.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He threw 45 pitches and touched 97 miles per hour, which is in line with his normal velocity. Cole should see his pitch count lightened Sunday, though he'll likely need at least one more rehab outing before coming off the 60-day IL. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:27 pm

    • Set to start Saturday
Peralta is scheduled to start Saturday against the Tigers, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Advice: The right-hander initially lined up to start Friday's series opener, but Tobias Myers will instead take the ball in that contest. Peralta has given up at least one homer in each of his past four starts, though he's still been effective over the last three with a 2.55 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB across 17.2 innings. • Homers in three-hit game Thursday
Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three total runs scored in an 11-7 victory versus the Pirates on Thursday.

Advice: Hernandez broke a 4-4 tie with a solo blast in the fifth inning, and Los Angeles never trailed again. The long ball snapped a 10-game stretch without a homer for the veteran outfielder, and after a hot start to the season, he's gone deep just twice over his past 23 contests. However, Hernandez still ranks second on the Dodgers with 13 homers and 39 RBI overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:38 am
