  • Resting for day game
Anderson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: The veteran shortstop will take a seat Wednesday while the Marlins wrap up their series in Kansas City with a day game after a night game. Vidal Brujan will step in as the Marlins' starting shortstop in Anderson's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:44 am
  • Orlando Arcia (dizziness) absent for Game 1
Orlando Arcia, who left Monday’s game with dizziness, is not in the lineup for the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Advice: We’re guessing we’ll see him in game two, but no official word yet if that’s the plan. Arcia was also slated to sit last night before the game was rained out. Zack Short is playing shortstop. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:35 am
  • Out for Game 1 of twin bill
Arcia (head) is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.

Advice: Before Tuesday's game was rained out, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker disclosed that Arcia still wasn't feeling well after exiting Monday's 4-3 loss due to dizziness. Snitker didn't entirely rule Arcia out for both games of the twin bill, but it wouldn't be surprising if Atlanta opted to give the veteran shortstop the full day off to recover. Zack Short will cover shortstop in Arcia's stead in the first game of the day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 am
  • Swipes bag Tuesday
Lopez went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: The 25-year-old infielder ripped a one-out double in the seventh inning and came around to score the Marlins' first run of the night in a 2-1 victory. Lopez has slowed down at the plate in June, slashing .203/.224/.250 with three doubles, two steals, four RBI and five runs in 18 games, but he continues to hold down the starting job at second base. • Could miss multiple days
Arcia (head) got checked out at a local hospital Tuesday after continuing to feel unwell Monday night, and while tests came back negative, the shortstop could be sidelined for multiple days, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "We'll probably give him two or three days," manager Brian Snitker said prior to Tuesday's game in St. Louis being rained out.

Advice: Arcia left Monday's 4-3 loss to St. Louis due to dizziness that was initially attributed to dehydration, although no official diagnosis has been announced. Atlanta is set to play a doubleheader Wednesday against the Cardinals following the rainout, but Arcia could end up sitting for the entire twin bill if he's still not feeling 100 percent. Zack Short will handle shortstop duties until he's ready to return, and Luke Williams was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday to provide depth at the position. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:45 am
  • Snaps out of slump
Gonzales went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Gonzales was in a cold spell entering Tuesday's contest, as he had gone just 1-for-23 with eight strikeouts across his past seven games. He snapped out of that slump with his second three-hit performance of the season. Despite the recent downturn, Gonzales has enjoyed his most sustained success in the majors, maintaining a .282 average and .755 OPS across 161 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:20 am
  • On base five times Tuesday
Abrams went 3-for-3 with two walks, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Abrams has rattled off three hits in four of his last five games, and he's added three steals, three RBI and eight runs scored in that span. The shortstop's sizzling stretch has him up to a .283/.335/.507 slash line through 71 contests. His .842 OPS is his highest mark since May 12. Abrams has done a little of everything this year, adding 12 home runs, 40 RBI, 48 runs scored, 13 steals, 19 doubles and five triples. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:08 pm
  • CJ Abrams reaches five times in loss to Padres
CJ Abrams went 3-for-3 with two walks Tuesday against the Padres.

Advice: It’s too bad this netted Abrams only one run and one RBI, even though the Nationals scored seven times. Unfortunately, the play from Abrams in this game that everyone will see was him being thrown out after lazily going back to first base following a single. He was also picked off first base in the game. He later appeared to have a stolen base, only to wind up getting sent back to first base because the umpire interfered with the catcher’s throw. • Brett Wisely finishes 2-for-4 in Giants’ victory
Brett Wisely went 2-for-4 with a run scored from the leadoff spot in the Giants’ 5-1 defeat of the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Wisely’s second hit, a 403-foot double to left-center, would have been a homer in 29 of 30 ballparks and really a no-doubter in most of them. Oracle Park isn’t built that way, though. Wisely, who has turned into the Giants’ shortstop versus righties, is batting an impressive .301/.333/.441 in 99 plate appearances. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:43 pm
